We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Safer Gambling squad in our Customer Tribe at Sky Betting & Gaming. ​The Customer Tribe's mission is to deliver & inspire better moments for customers and your role will be pivotal in delviering that! As a software Engineer in our Safer Gambling squad, you'll be building and maintaining the services and UI that protect our Customers using Java, PHP, Kafka and ReactJS. We are continuing to explore new ways to protect our customers and your input wiill help us hit key milestones on that journey by building new features, as well as improving and maintaining existing functionality. This a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative and close-knit squad where you will have the opportunity to steer development decisions relating to creation of safer gambling tools to protect our customers and make a real positive difference. As an engineer in our Safer Gambling squad you will: Work in a squad with senior engineers and an LSE who will mentor and develop you. The squad is fully supported by a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Agile Delivery Lead and Architect. You will be working in an agile Kanban process with quick feedback and iterative development. You will have an opportunity to grow and develop skills from front end development, monitoring and analytics and UI to back end development, working with databases and deployment utilising technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. About you: You are passionate about engineering and having the autonomy to solve problems. Your definition of done includes delivering a product to a customer in a live environment and afterwards. You are happy to do all parts of the delivery cycle from inception to release. You have commercial experience of using Java and Kafka. You may not have experience of using ReactJS but you are happy to learn. What happens next? We will aim to get back to you as soon as possible.
