This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated client facing Pre/Post-Sales Technical Consultant, wanting a new challenge and looking to join a forward thinking and award winning Solutions Provider working within the Data Storage/Virtualisation and Networks space. Company Information The company is a well-established, independently funded and innovative end-to end Solutions Provider, with an enviable reputation within the market place. Continuing to grow despite the recent economic climate, the role has been created by continued business growth and the need to expand our technical-sales/support team. The Role The primary function of the role is to support the Sales Team and Consultants, and to take charge and manage the working of the company’s technical requirements, both from an internal and external pre-sale supporting position focused in the main on our Storage & Visualisation portfolio. You will also be required to help lead and develop all areas of our technical resource to include, project management, project installations, client technical proposals, internal technical sales training, technical vendor certifications. Key responsibilities: • Provide both internal and external pre & post-sales support. • To be the primary technical interface between the customer and the sales team assisting in driving the sales cycle forward. • Prepare and develop detailed customer solution proposals & presentations. • Provide on-hand expertise & regular overview training to the sales teams on existing & new emerging technologies. • Undertake continual personal training and initiatives to ensure a high level of technical knowledge is maintained across multiple disciplines. • To keep appropriate CRM systems up to date at all times. Knowledge, skills, & experience competencies: • Extensive Storage and Virtualisation knowledge. • Preferred certifications MCP / MCITP / MCTS / MCSA / MCSE / CCNA / CCDA / VTSP • Vendor experience/certifications e.g. EMC, HP, IBM, HDS, NetApp, Veaam , VMware, Cisco , Citrix, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to relate to customers across all levels of their organisation. • Eligible to live and work in the UK • Clean UK Driving License Salary & Benefits The role is based from the company’s new London, City office, but also supporting the Head Office in Horley, Surrey, although frequent travel to and from client meetings will be required to facilitate the pre-sales process so a full valid UK driving licence is also required

The Role & Responsibilities This is a varied role split between both office locations with direct responsibility for all members of the sales team. You will be responsible for creating a productive, dynamic and fast-paced environment and will need to implement a dynamic ‘hunter-style’ approach across the team. Utilising your management skill set you be mentoring, driving and assisting their efforts to winning new business via e-marketing campaigns, web site visits, account mapping, white space development, lead development, cold calling and face-to-face relationship building. • Develop a sales strategy that ensures attainment of both personal and company sales goals. • Take responsibility for the performance and development of the entire sales team across two office locations. • Ensure that the required level of daily outbound call activity is achieved, whilst striving to push for productive conversations. • Prepare action plans by individual to maximise their potential to ensure target achievement. • Run detailed account mapping plans to maximise all revenue streams from each organisation. • Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets. • Assist and conduct regular one-on-one reviews with all sales staff to build more effective communications, to understand their training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of the teams’ sales and activity performance. • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance. • Ensure the sales team are providing timely, accurate, and competitive pricing on all customer proposals while striving to maintain maximum profit margin. • Maintain accurate and up to date CRM records, and monitor activity submitted by all sales staff including scheduled call backs, quote follow ups, customer meetings, etc. • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team. • Recruitment of new sales team members. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience within a sales management role. • Experience with Enterprise, Government/ Public Sector Organisations, & SME’s, dealing at C level. • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams. • Excellent negotiation skills. • Good business sense. • Demonstrable sales and target attainment history across previous teams. • The ability to motivate and lead a team. • Initiative, drive and enthusiasm. • Excellent communication skills. • Good planning and organisational skills • The ability to work calmly under pressure Salary & Benefits Based from the company's Horley and London City offices, with frequent travel to and from client meetings also required to assist and facilitate the sales process.
