Job Title: Senior Analyst – Risk Strategy - SAS Location: Chester Salary: Negotiable – Depending On Experience The Senior Analyst will be responsible for the development, tracking and forecasting of existing account risk strategy with specific focus on strategy testing programs and strategy development for balance growth through both proactive strategies and customer initiative requests. The role holder will be responsible for analysis and reporting to understand financial performance of risk strategies and customer behaviours as they impact the P&L. The holder will partner closely with Finance, Marketing, Execution, and MIS reporting teams, database teams to deliver robust strategies and best in class strategy reporting and analytics. Accountabilities • Development of measurable strategies for cash and line increases which optimise the risk and reward performance through understanding of customer behaviours and impacts to key P&L lines • Analyse the relative success of the strategy suite and deliver strategy insight, recommending corrective actions as necessary • Assist with management and improvement of control environment. Job Title: Modelling & Analytics Manager Location: London Salary: to £75,000 + car allowance, bonus & benefits Our client, a successful and established financial services organisation is looking for a Manager to lead their Decision Science Analytics team at their offices in London. You will be responsible for leading the development, validation and maintenance of credit risk scorecards. You will lead scorecard implementation, cut-off strategies, oversight of scorecard monitoring, and related recommendations regarding scorecard re-alignment or re-development. The role will involve working on a range of analytical projects with minimum guidance. The Senior Analyst will need to have good project management skills and be able to oversee analytic developments for diversified portfolios and solutions across the European region. Your responsibilities will include: • Developing and maintaining risk management strategies within account opening and account management systems, to maximise returns and support the operational teams. Identifying opportunities to safely grow the business without compromising credit quality and returns. • Optimising the use of statistical models in strategy design, as well as optimising generation of fraud and underwriting referrals. • Formulating business problems and translating them into an actionable analytics plan. Developing project plan and managing own projects. • Liaising with key business stakeholders, understanding the requirements and recommending appropriate analysis to drive projects to successful completion. • Working closely with colleagues within the global analytics team and supporting offshore projects. • Accurately analysing trends, financial data and company status to make informed decisions regarding complex credit issues. You will have: • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar analytical role e.g. financial services, retail, energy etc. • Experience of using SAS and SQL. • A degree in a numerical subject (Desirable). However work experience equivalent will be considered. • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt your material and delivery style to technical and non-technical audiences. • The willingness to mentor and guide junior analysts.
