Our client, a well-regarded software solutions company within the Aviation and Military sector, are looking to expand their engineering team and seeking a C++ Software Engineer. The role will initially be based at the company's site in South West London and then move to a hybrid pattern with 1/2 days office based. You will be joining a team of engineers who are experts in their field and passionate about what they do. Working with the company's well established messaging products, which are deployed in critical environments, ensuring compatibility across multiple protocols and Legacy systems. This would be ideal for someone who really enjoys getting to grips with how systems work and wants to contribute to solving complex engineering problems. The following tasks are not exhaustive but will give you a good indication of what will be involved which will include: Adding new features and extending capabilities in response to new standards and client requirements. Debugging clients reported issues and improving code base and product delivery over time. Working with Servers. gateways and protocol bridges. Elevating security capabilities and improving system delivery and maintenance of products. Working with the wider team to further enhance products and contribute to the adoption of newer programming languages. The successful candidate will: A degree in Computer engineering or IT related subject would be desirable Solid commercial software development experience using C++ Confidence to work with large codebase Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and debug problems Knowledge of messaging technologies would be beneficial. Standards based protocol implementation Networking and networking protocols Lots of initiative and ability to work autonomously As well as a salary of up to £72,000-£80.000 inc. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Technical Consultant to join a well established and growing MSP in the North London area. This role pays between £60,000 - £75,000 and will be split between customer sites & the Potters Bar HQ. To be considered for this position, you MUST have previous experience working for MSP's within a customer-focused role. This position will cover the complete IT infrastructure and centre around rollout, migration, upgrade & deployment projects. As an experienced IT Consultant, you will provide complete project life cycle consultancy covering pre-sales, scope of work, proof of concept, customer onboarding, customer auditing, technical designs, project delivery, documentation & post-project support. As an experienced IT Technical Consultant, you will have a wide-ranging background with: MS Azure & Office 365 (inc. Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams & OneDrive) Azure AD/Entra ID Windows Server, VMWare &/or HyperV Purview and Intune Sophos security suite Various networking Switches, Routers & Firewalls Further experience with ISO27001 & Cyber Essentials frameworks would also be highly beneficial. Working as an IT Consultant for various customers, you will predominantly cover the Greater London area and have mileage & travel expenses paid. My client is a small but well-established and growing MSP with an emphasis on customer service & customer satisfaction. In addition to a salary of up to £75,000 they will provide formal MS training courses & exams to help you become certified and progress your career. As you will be spending several days each week at customer sites, it is essential that you have a full & clean driver's licence and your own car. When not at customer sites you will be at the Potters Bar HQ with the rest of the IT team & wider company.
