We are seeking a Platform & Cyber Security Specialist to work within a large organisation as they move through an IT transformation programme. This is a key role where you will help deliver and secure the organisation's cloud-first technology environment, ensuring their digital services remain modern, resilient and secure. This is a hybrid role based 3 days a week at their offices in North West London and 2 days working from home. The Platform and Cyber Security Specialist will take ownership of the platforms, cyber security controls and emerging technologies that underpin the organisation's digital environment. This includes managing the Microsoft Entra environment end to end - from Entra Connect, ID objects, and licensing through to security controls such as PIM, Conditional Access, MFA, and SSPR. You'll also configure and manage security across Office 365 and endpoints, including Defender RBAC and Defender for Cloud Apps, staying ahead of emerging threats by investigating alerts and incidents, monitoring and remediating risks and generating audits and reports, alongside safeguarding the organisation from spam and phishing through Microsoft 365 email remediation, eDiscovery, and retention policy configuration. Additionally, you'll be responsible for SSL certificates and the wider VPN estate, applying a strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, and name resolution to configure SSL VPN profiles and maintain a robust security posture. Key skills Strong understanding of cyber security principles, identity and access management and MS security best practices. Experienced with Hybrid Exchange environments, including Exchange Online and on-premises services. Skilled in managing Microsoft Entra ID environments, including Conditional Access, MFA, SSPR, PIM, and identity life cycle management. Experience of Microsoft 365 Defender and Sentinel to monitor, investigate, and respond to security threats and incidents. Strong knowledge of Active Directory management, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, domains, trusts, replication, and certificate services. Familiar with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management including device security and compliance policies. Knowledge of VPN technologies, SSL certificates, and core networking concepts Proficient in PowerShell Scripting and automation This is a great opportunity to play a leading role in maintaining secure, resilient and highly available technology services that support the delivery of critical services. My client is in urgent need of an experienced IBMi Engineer for a 3-6 month contract. This role will be hybrid with several days a week in Dorking, Surrey. It pays between £400 - £500 p/d inside IR35. To be considered for this IT Infrastructure Engineer role, you will have a solid background in IBMi (IBM iSeries) & IBM Power Servers, providing remote customer support & maintenance, and design & implementation services. As an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer/IT Consultant, your skill set will include: IBM iSeries & IBM Power Servers Data Centre experience Network Switches, Routers & Firewalls Some Microsoft Azure cloud Some VMWare & HyperV virtualisation Ideally Veeam &/or Commvault Working across the complete infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, monitoring, automating, storage & disaster recovery systems & hardware, which will also include Backup As A Service, Disaster Recovery As A Service, and Hosting As A Service. Working on an IT Service Desk in a small team of IBM specialists, you will provide remote customer support and remote data centre support to enterprise IBMi, Azure & VMWare environments. In addition to BAU support, you will also be responsible for scheduled OS upgrades, firmware upgrades, DR tests and Data Restore tests. Any further experience with enterprise storage systems such as IBM, PURE, EMC &/or HP; and replication & backup tools such as Commvault, Mimix, Maxava, &/or Q-EDD. Based in Central Surrey (with onsite parking), my client offers hybrid working of several days work from home and several days work in the office. This contract pays £400 - £500p/d and sits inside IR35.
