We're looking for experienced Senior Applications Engineers to join our client s engineering team, developing technical solutions for customers and supporting projects from initial enquiry through to successful delivery. This is a customer-facing engineering role where your CNC machine tool knowledge will be essential in understanding customer requirements, producing technical proposals and delivering commercially successful solutions. Key Responsibilities As Senior Applications Engineer, you will develop technical solutions, quotations and proposals based on customer requirements for high-precision aerospace and industrial components. You will act as the technical interface between customers, sales and engineering throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Applications Engineer will provide application support, technical presentations and product demonstrations on multi-process manufacturing systems. Work closely with design and manufacturing teams to ensure solutions are practical, cost-effective and deliverable, using 3D CAD e.g. Inventor. Support machine acceptance activities, including international travel for customer training and commissioning support. About You Previous experience within the CNC machine tool industry is essential. You'll have a strong technical understanding of CNC machining processes and machine tool applications, together with excellent customer-facing and communication skills. You will be prepared to travel, mostly internationally, for circa a third of the time. Whether your background is in Applications Engineering, Technical Sales, Project Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, you'll enjoy solving engineering challenges and working directly with customers. 1/3 of the time travelling to customer sites, the rest of the time on site, Leicestershire.
