Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage's Emerging Professionals Programme is designed to create meaningful, paid employment opportunities for early career professionals seeking sustainable careers in the arts, heritage and cultural sectors. The programme offers a structured and supportive pathway from education into professional practice, recognising that access to careers should be determined by talent, commitment and potential rather than financial circumstances or existing networks. Combining paid employment with professional development, mentoring and practical experience, participants work as interns within the day to day activities of Serendipity, gaining first hand exposure to festivals, heritage, archives, higher education, publishing, community engagement and cultural leadership. Arts Administration Internship The Arts Administration Intern will support day to day management and administration of Serendipity's programmes and operations. This internship, aimed at recent graduates, provides practical experience in arts management, event delivery, marketing, finance and organisational administration, preparing the candidate for a career in arts and cultural management. Heritage and Archives Internship The Heritage and Archives Intern will support the preservation, documentation and interpretation of Black British heritage collections, gaining practical experience in archive management, collections care, research and public engagement. This internship, aimed at recent graduates, offers hands on experience in the arts and heritage sectors.
