Contract Security Architect (Platform security) £555 p/d Inside IR35 Hybrid remote in Salisbury *DV Clearance is essential* please only apply if you hold this level of clearance, this is due to the classification of the project. We are seeking an experienced DV cleared Security Architect support the design, build and assurance of Back End platform and endpoint security capabilities within secure, offline (air-gapped) environments. This is a highly technical role suited to a security professional who can operate at both architectural and hands-on levels, with strong experience across endpoint protection, Antivirus/EDR, vulnerability management, platform security and secure environments. You will work closely with Infrastructure, Platform and Security teams, applying NIST Cybersecurity Framework principles and MOD security policies to deliver secure and compliant capabilities for a UK Government environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture, design and implementation of endpoint and platform security solutions. Design security controls aligned with MOD policies, NIST Cybersecurity Framework and NCSC guidance. Design and deliver vulnerability management capabilities, including scanning, risk prioritisation, remediation and reporting. Develop security solutions for offline and air-gapped environments, including controlled update, patch and signature distribution. Establish secure mechanisms for threat intelligence ingestion and data transfer within disconnected environments. Define and implement vulnerability scanning regimes and remediation processes. Advise on endpoint hardening, Firewall rules, ports, protocols and system security controls. Produce penetration testing scopes covering Back End platforms and endpoints. Produce and maintain formal technical documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, security architecture documentation and SOPs. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience operating as a Security Architect, Security Engineer or senior Security SME within secure, regulated or high-assurance environments. Designing and delivering: Platform security controls, Firewall, port and protocol security, Antivirus/Endpoint Protection/EDR solutions, Vulnerability Management platforms and Endpoint hardening and security controls Experience working within offline/air-gapped environments. Strong understanding of: Secure patching and update models, AV signature management, Threat intelligence management, Controlled data transfer mechanisms and Vulnerability assessment and remediation Experience producing formal technical documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), Security Architecture documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Experience supporting security accreditation, assurance and compliance processes.

We are currently hiring for an DV Cleared Active Directory Architect for an initial 6 months contract assignment. (Duration is very likely to extend). You must hold current active DV Clearance. This position is Inside IR35 and will be working on site. The preference is for the individual to be based in Erskine, however if based closer to Farnborough or Newcastle, the resource would be expected to attend the client site in Corsham twice per week. We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Active Directory (AD) Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise directory services within secure, high-assurance environments . This role requires deep technical expertise in Active Directory architecture , strong delivery experience, and the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on. The successful candidate will support a UK secure account , working closely with stakeholders and delivering solutions on customer sites. The candidate must have fully transferrable DV clearance. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of Microsoft Active Directory environments (on-premises) Act as the technical SME for Active Directory , providing expert guidance on best practices, policies, and standards Design and implement secure AD architectures , including domains, forests, trusts, and replication strategies Develop and enforce Group Policy (GPO) strategies aligned with security and operational requirements Deliver identity services integration , including federation (ADFS) Define and implement tiered administration models , privileged access controls, Integration with Privileged access Management tooling, and secure identity design patterns Conduct health checks, security assessments, and remediation planning for AD environments Support incident resolution and root cause analysis relating to identity and authentication services Produce and maintain comprehensive design and operational documentation Work closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure and efficient identity services Engage directly with Tech Lead, Programme Manager and customers on-site , supporting delivery and building trusted relationships. Senior User Researcher (SC) - Contract - Remote Working - £competitive Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Senior User Researcher to work at a leading consultancy client on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping multi-disciplinary teams gain an understanding of user needs, using their expertise to turn insight into meaningful design decisions, and ensure that products and services are accessible, inclusive and genuinely user-centred. Responsibilities include: - Apply a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand user needs, behaviours, motivations and pain points. - Lead the planning of end-to-end user research across complex projects, taking a key role throughout, from defining research questions through to analysis and communicating findings. - Translate complex research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders. - Run mapping workshops to help gain an understanding of internal and external user journeys - Facilitate workshops, interviews, usability testing and other research activities. - Collaborate with multi-functional Agile teams to integrate user research throughout the development process. - Navigate complex stakeholder environments, balancing competing priorities and managing challenging or ambiguous problems. Experience required: - A significant background in user research, with demonstrable experience gained within large, complex or highly regulated project environments. - Strong experience of User-Centred Design (UCD) and have worked as part of multidisciplinary delivery teams. - Practical knowledge and experience of the Government Digital Service (GDS) standards, including applying GDS principles and ways of working within projects. - Experience working within Agile and/or multidisciplinary delivery environments. - A strong understanding of research methods, both qualitative and quantitative; this may include interviewing, usability testing, contextual research, diary studies and other appropriate approaches. - User journey research and development skills - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers. - It would be advantageous to have experience of working throughout Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live phases. - Due to the nature of the client, it would be advantageous for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
