A clear understanding of the contract culture is required to ensure all members of the teams are fully motivated and committed to providing a bespoke high-level security service. You will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors. To achieve this, you will be/become well versed in the processes and practices of a Security Manager professional. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well drilled security operation. Responsibilities Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated Be familiar with all Security and Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice. Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA or other relevant regulations To complete any other reasonable task as instructed by your line manager or other Senior Manager, either Unitrust or at the request of the Client and/or tenants To act with integrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant and ethical manner Assist in the induction, development or ongoing training of new and current team members Act in accordance with Company policies and procedures and our code of conduct To have total accountability for the day-to-day running of the security operation within site. To liaise with the client to ensure KPI's and SLA's are met and exceeded. To ensure all Unitrust and client policies and procedures are adhered to and regularly reviewed To lead and motivate the security team Ensuring all issues and incidents are dealt with and reported on in a timely, professional and efficient manner to the client and control team To implement and manage all aspects of site and Unitrust's environmental, health and safety requirements Managing the administration and welfare of the site security team, including induction and continuous training, probation, and setting objectives during annual appraisals Responsible for the rostering of staff and ensuring the contract is manned to contractual specifications, including appropriate holiday cover and managing staff absences To ensure there is a robust succession plan in place for all key positions within the team. Complete all administrative tasks as necessary To ensure daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports are submitted to the client as required Develop local liaison with the Police and the local community To be forward thinking and be a part of idea generation and innovations To devise and implement new security procedures To act as incident commander for all site and Unitrust related business continuity/disaster recovery/incident response scenarios. To promote, manage and develop best practice working routines throughout the security team Essential Skills A minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience in the Security industry A minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience in managing a prestigious and highly demanding contract Demonstrable experience in people management and the ability to motivate a team Valid SIA front-line licence Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills Experience of writing and presenting risk reviews and business cases Reliable, trustworthy and punctual Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task Operation of CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner CCTV licence - Desirable but not essential An industry recognised qualification (Highly desirable) Exposure to relevant Protective Security or Counter Terrorism Advice Unitrust is an Equal Opportunities employer and welcome applicants from suitably qualified persons regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status or pregnancy and maternity.
