Business Development Manager - AI Cloud & Infrastructure Location: London, UK (Hybrid - Tuesday to Thursday in the office) Reporting to: Sales Director - Hyperstack ABOUT NEXGEN CLOUD: NexGen Cloud is the company behind Hyperstack, a full-stack AI cloud serving tens of thousands of customers from AI researchers to enterprises running the world's most compute-intensive workloads. We deliver on-demand and private GPU infrastructure to teams who treat performance as a requirement, not a feature. We're a tight-knit, fast-moving team working at the cutting edge of AI cloud infrastructure. We practice what we preach, equipping our people with AI at every level so we can solve harder problems, ship faster, and keep raising the bar for what enterprise GPU infrastructure looks like. THE ROLE: Business Development Manager - AI Cloud & Infrastructure This role exists because demand for GPU cloud infrastructure is accelerating fast - GenAI teams are scaling, enterprise AI adoption is reaching an inflection point, and the pipeline opportunity is outpacing our current commercial capacity. You'll have direct ownership over new logo acquisition, pipeline generation, and early-stage deal progression across high-growth AI and enterprise accounts. This is a role for someone who wants to hunt. You'll be given real accounts, real market access, and the autonomy to go after them - with the backing of a strong SDR function and a product that genuinely competes at the top end of the market. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Rather than a long checklist, here's what success in this role looks like: Own pipeline generation - working both inbound SDR-qualified leads and your own outbound motion across GenAI scale-ups, AI service providers, and enterprise AI teams Drive new logo acquisition through targeted, account-based outreach and strategic engagement with CTOs, Heads of AI, Infrastructure Leads, and procurement Lead technical discovery conversations that get to the real problem: workload requirements, GPU compute needs, infrastructure constraints, and commercial fit Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to sharpen messaging, refine positioning, and improve conversion through the funnel Build and maintain a clean, accurate pipeline in CRM with the forecasting discipline that lets the business plan around your numbers Identify patterns across accounts and market segments - where demand is emerging, where we have an edge, and where we should be doubling down ABOUT YOU: We're more interested in how you think and work than in a perfect CV. You'll likely bring a combination of the following: 5+ years in business development or solution sales, with a track record of opening new accounts - not just managing them Background in cloud infrastructure, IaaS, AI computing, or HPC - you understand what you're selling and can hold a credible conversation with technical buyers Experience selling to AI engineers, data scientists, DevOps and infrastructure teams - comfortable in rooms where people know more than you about the tech Strong command of complex B2B sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and longer deal timelines Fluency in CRM and sales engagement tools - HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, or equivalent Nice to Have Experience with neo-cloud providers, GPU-as-a-Service platforms, or HPC infrastructure vendors Exposure to verticals with high compute demand: Media & Entertainment, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Services, Automotive, Manufacturing Understanding of AI workloads, model training pipelines, and what makes infrastructure decisions complex at scale WHAT WE OFFER: Competitive salary and annual discretionary bonus scheme 25 days of holiday, plus public holidays Flexible working arrangements (remote or hybrid, depending on role and location) Real ownership and autonomy, with the trust to take initiative and experiment The opportunity to make a visible, meaningful impact as we scale Clear career progression and growth opportunities in a fast-growing company

Department: Operations Reporting to: COO ABOUT NEXGEN CLOUD NexGen Cloud is the company behind Hyperstack, a full-stack AI cloud serving tens of thousands of customers from AI researchers to enterprises running the world's most compute-intensive workloads. We deliver on-demand and private GPU infrastructure to teams who treat performance as a requirement, not a feature. We're a tight-knit, fast-moving team working at the cutting edge of AI cloud infrastructure. We practise what we preach, equipping our people with AI at every level so we can solve harder problems, ship faster, and keep raising the bar for what enterprise GPU infrastructure looks like. THE ROLE NexGen Cloud is closing enterprise GPU cluster deals at pace - complex, multi-stakeholder programmes spanning commercial, legal, procurement, data centre, and engineering. Delivery coordination has so far sat with one person, who is at capacity. This isn't a backfill. It's a net-new hire to own customer delivery as a function. Sitting within Operations and reporting to the COO, you'll take cluster deployment projects from contract signature through to customer handover - coordinating across Solutions Architecture, Procurement, Datacentre Planning, Network & Infrastructure Engineering, and Commercial. You'll also build the PMO infrastructure the business currently lacks: governance frameworks, RAID logs, executive reporting, and delivery standards that scale. This is a high-ownership role in a business that is winning deals faster than it can systematise delivery. The person who takes it will leave a visible mark on how NexGen Cloud operates. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Own end-to-end delivery of AI and HPC cluster deployment projects - from commercial handoff through procurement, data centre readiness, hardware delivery, and customer handover. Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams across Solutions Architecture, Engineering, Procurement, Datacentre Planning, and Commercial - driving accountability, not just tracking it. Be on the ground when it matters: on-site at data centres during hardware delivery, managing logistics, coordinating suppliers, and keeping momentum where it's easiest to lose it. Run customer-facing steering committees and project updates - this is the face of NexGen's delivery function externally, managing relationships from day one. Build the governance infrastructure from scratch: RAID logs, milestone tracking, project templates, and executive dashboards that give the business real visibility across active programmes. Coordinate financing and commercial approval milestones alongside technical delivery - comfortable interfacing with legal and finance, not just engineering. Mentor project owners and department leads as PMO practices embed across the business. ABOUT YOU Proven track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder technology infrastructure projects end-to-end - with specific projects you personally owned and closed. Solid grounding in data centre infrastructure - power, networking, hardware procurement, physical deployment - enough to coordinate technical experts credibly, without being one. Experience managing commercial and contractual workstreams alongside technical delivery; comfortable working directly with legal and finance. Strong stakeholder management at C-suite and customer level - this role is externally facing from day one. Has operated in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with a high degree of ownership and limited hand-holding. Nice to Have Direct exposure to HPC or AI/GPU cluster deployments, or adjacent high-density compute environments. PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent - a signal, not a gate. Experience building or scaling PMO capability within a scale-up or high-growth business. Background in neo-cloud, managed infrastructure, or enterprise technology deployment. WHAT WE OFFER Competitive salary and annual discretionary bonus scheme 25 days of holiday, plus public holidays Flexible working arrangements (hybrid) Real ownership and autonomy, with the trust to take initiative and experiment The opportunity to make a visible, meaningful impact as we scale Clear career progression and growth opportunities in a fast-growing company A collaborative, international culture built on trust, transparency, and ownership The chance to help shape NexGen Cloud's team, culture, and future alongside ambitious, mission-driven colleagues

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Rather than a long checklist, here's what success in this role looks like: Lead, support, and develop a team of software engineers through regular feedback, coaching, performance management, and career development - building an environment of clarity, ownership, and high standards Partner with Product and stakeholders to translate priorities into realistic plans and clear execution, balancing speed, quality, technical complexity, and business impact Stay close to architecture, design, and implementation decisions - supporting strong engineering judgement across the team and maintaining high standards in code quality, testing, and system design Support the team in building stable, production-ready systems that scale with demand - driving improvements in observability, performance, resilience, and operational practice Work closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to align on priorities, dependencies, and risks - communicating clearly and driving decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments Help the team make good decisions about sequencing, trade-offs, and technical debt - surfacing delivery risks early and keeping execution on track Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and team design - identifying capability gaps and ensuring new joiners are set up to succeed Continuously improve team processes, planning, and engineering workflows - and reinforce a culture of ownership, trust, accountability, and constructive challenge ABOUT YOU: We're more interested in how you think and work than in a perfect CV. You'll likely bring a combination of the following: Proven experience leading and developing software engineers in a people management capacity - coaching, feedback, performance management, and career development Strong track record delivering production software through engineering teams, with the ability to balance execution, quality, technical debt, and business priorities Solid technical background in software engineering, platform engineering, or backend systems - enough depth to contribute meaningfully to architecture discussions and technical direction Experience leading teams working on cloud platforms, infrastructure products, or technically complex B2B software Strong understanding of modern software development practices - backend services, APIs, testing, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, and Docker Experience working closely with Product and cross-functional stakeholders in environments where requirements evolve quickly Strong communication skills - able to align stakeholders, manage expectations, and communicate risks, trade-offs, and progress clearly Nice to Have Exposure to GPU-intensive, distributed, or performance-sensitive systems Experience in high-growth or scale-up environments where products, teams, and processes are evolving quickly Experience hiring and scaling engineering teams through periods of growth and organisational change Familiarity with platform reliability practices - incident response, capacity planning, and operational improvement WHAT WE OFFER: Competitive salary and annual discretionary bonus scheme 25 days of holiday, plus public holidays Flexible working arrangements (remote or hybrid, depending on role and location) Real ownership and autonomy, with the trust to take initiative and experiment The opportunity to make a visible, meaningful impact as we scale Clear career progression and growth opportunities in a fast-growing company A collaborative, international culture built on trust, transparency, and ownership The chance to help shape NexGen Cloud's team, culture, and future alongside ambitious, mission-driven colleagues
