Working as part of a team of Engineers, Technicians, Trainees and Assistants within the RG5 warehouse, you will prepare and de prep equipment to d&b standards, including loading and unloading vehicles, general maintenance, and supporting warehouse operations. You will take responsibility for ensuring equipment is correctly prepared and returned, consistently meeting the required quality standards. This is a development role focused on building technical, operational, and team based capability, with opportunities to develop technical knowledge, gain broader warehouse skills (including licences such as forklift where appropriate), and build leadership behaviours. The role offers progression within warehouse operations, as well as potential pathways into engineering or production teams, including site based work. Key Duties & Responsibilities Equipment Preparation & Testing Prepare equipment in line with job requirements Carry out functional testing and aesthetic checks prior to dispatch Check condition and identify faults or missing items Actively identify and elevate issues affecting quality or completeness Operational Support & Flow Work as part of the team to meet deadlines and operational demand Support dispatch and returns processes of events, goods and other deliveries Load and unload equipment onto/from vans and trucks Work within vehicles and loading areas to ensure safe, efficient handling Move equipment safely throughout the warehouse (manual handling required) Maintain organised and efficient working areas Asset Maintenance Carry out basic repairs to equipment and cabling under guidance Support maintenance and servicing activities Participate in testing processes (e.g. electrical or compliance where required) Quality & Standards Act as a frontline quality checkpoint for equipment leaving the warehouse Follow standard operating procedures consistently Escalate faults or recurring issues Take ownership for quality of work completed Learning & Development Participate in structured training to build technical capability Develop understanding of equipment across disciplines Gain exposure to different areas (workshops, repairs, operations) Health, Safety & Compliance Follow health and safety procedures Use tools and equipment safely Maintain clean and safe working areas Report hazards, incidents, or near misses Defining success in this role: Equipment is prepared accurately and on time Faults are identified early and escalated Work meets technical and operational standards Demonstrates ongoing development in knowledge and confidence Takes responsibility for delivering right first time outcomes, escalating issues and following tasks through to resolution Technical Skills Interest in technical equipment (lighting, audio, AV, or similar) Basic IT literacy Basic electrical or mechanical understanding An understanding of basic IT and networking concepts Professional Skills Strong attention to detail Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Proactive, resourceful and able to use own initiative to solve problems Ability to work effectively and collaboratively alongside team members and other teams Calm under pressure, with a friendly, personable and positive approach in a fast paced, client facing environment Experience & Qualifications No formal qualifications are required for this role Previous warehouse, logistics, or technical experience is desirable An interest in events, production, or engineering is desirable Warehouse Engineer Location: Based in RG5 Department: Event Production Services Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday flexibility required Overview: The Role Summary: As a trainee you will be starting off your career in the events and entertainment industry, learning the skills you will need to become an onsite engineer. Upon progression from EPS trainee (circa 9 12 months) this role transfers to the EPS Engineering team, carrying out site based work delivering Audio, Video, Lighting and Media solutions for our clients. This role begins in a warehouse based environment with the opportunity to expand into field based responsibilities.
