Viridor Resource Management is seeking a Technical Compliance Lead based in Glasgow, Scotland. In this role, you will manage and monitor environmental systems to ensure compliance with regulations and permits, while working closely with Plant Managers to enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in environmental compliance, particularly within industrial settings, and possess strong leadership skills to foster a compliance-oriented culture.

We have a new opportunity for a Technical Compliance Lead to join our team, based in Scotland, working 37.5 hours per week on a 2 year FTC. As our Technical Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for the management and monitoring of environmental systems, procedures and systems of work at the regional level. You'll maintain compliance with Viridor environmental permits, licences and relevant management systems, implement policy and procedure to deliver a highly compliant, quality led environment with safety at its core, and actively monitor, maintain and manage environmental monitoring and reporting to ensure best practice and avoidance of incidents and permit non compliance. Working closely with the Plant Managers and site teams in your region, you'll support the development of the plant to maintain high productivity while ensuring a no compromise approach with regards to environmental compliance at all times. What are we looking for? Hands on environmental professional with experience in industrial settings. Experience of an energy from waste facility would be advantageous and preferable. Relevant experience within a highly regulated and compliance focused environment. Strong leadership skills to lead and influence a team. Able to work with the Management Teams to embed a compliance focused culture within complex workplaces. Experience of permitted/regulated activities and processes within controlled emissions environments. Knowledge of BS14181 Quality Assurance preferable. Knowledge of the energy from waste/power industry inclusive of legislative knowledge. Viridor Resource Management is looking for a Project Engineer for a fixed-term contract in South Wales. This role requires strong engineering expertise and experience in managing complex projects to enhance the continuous rating across Energy Recovery Facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with OEMs and contractors while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The position offers a competitive salary of approximately £75,000 per year plus bonuses and perks.

Project Engineer - South Wales The role is a 3 year fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours per week (Mon Fri) with weekends during outages. Salary: approximately £75,000 per year, plus car allowance and participation in an annual bonus scheme, along with a range of benefits. Closing date for applications: 15th May 2026 (vacancies may close earlier). Responsibilities Support and deliver engineering changes that increase Maximum Continuous Rating (MCR) across Energy Recovery Facilities. Work with OEMs, contractors, site teams, and central engineering to develop technical solutions, integrate projects into outages, manage contractor performance, and ensure all changes meet safety, quality, and compliance standards. Conduct site visits, HAZOP reviews, produce Management of Change documentation, and attend acceptance tests (including overseas). Required Qualifications and Experience Strong engineering and maintenance knowledge in process or power industries. Understanding of pressure parts legislation and project management practices. Excellent communication, organisation, problem solving and negotiation skills. Experience managing contractors and delivering complex engineering projects.
