As Manager of Advertising Delivery, you'll own the end-to-end operations of a $25M FY27 run rate business spanning digital display, email, print, and programmatic channels. You'll lead a geographically distributed team across UK, US, and India, manage a critical partnership with our managed service provider (Virtusa), and shape how we execute campaigns, govern data, and enable sales-all while driving process innovation and platform readiness for transformational change. Job Responsibilities Revenue & Commercial Accountability Own the $25M FY27 run rate advertising delivery business, ensuring reliable, on time, high quality execution across all channels. Translate delivery roadmap and capacity planning into margin and cycle time outcomes; identify and eliminate friction points for Sales to accelerate revenue growth. Act as escalation point for complex delivery, technical, or commercial issues; resolve them with speed and commercial acumen. Team Leadership & Development Lead and develop a geographically distributed team spanning UK, US, and India across email advertising, ad operations, and digital operations channels. Coach and develop team members, building capability in the team across AdTech platforms, process discipline, and commercial acumen. Partner closely with Customer Delivery leadership on capacity planning, resource allocation, and talent development across regions. Platform & System Ownership Manage Wiley's AdTech stack, including ADvendio and SFMC platforms, ensuring platform health, data accuracy, and operational scalability. Lead platform readiness initiatives, including the SFMC migration; collaborate with Product to drive system enhancements and new product rollouts. Drive consolidation and governance of advertising master data, establishing SOPs and documentation discipline to improve accuracy, consistency, and usability across systems and teams. Establish incident frameworks and root cause analysis discipline; drive continuous improvement based on delivery performance data. Sales Partnership & Client Engagement Partner closely with Advertising Sales and the Advertising Product Capability team to structure pre sales engagement, develop RFP toolkits, and enable complex bids with delivery and technical input. Meet regularly with key advertising clients to represent delivery operations, resolve issues, strengthen relationships, and gather structured feedback through retrospectives. Maintain strategic relationships with research community stakeholders (IEEE, AAAS, ISPE) and agency partners to ensure alignment with their business and technical needs. Managed Service Partnership Manage the Virtusa partnership of the operating model; define SLAs, performance expectations, and governance cadence. Oversee knowledge transfer, skills development, and capability planning with the Virtusa team to ensure delivery quality and operational resilience. Drive alignment between internal team and Virtusa on roadmap priorities, capacity utilization, and cost efficiency. Required Qualifications Strong experience in advertising operations, digital advertising delivery, or AdTech enabled environments at scale. Proven ability to manage complex systems, workflows, and data across multiple stakeholders and geographies. Track record of leading and developing teams; experience managing geographically distributed teams is a plus. Strong analytical mindset, with experience using data and metrics to drive process improvement and decision making. Confidence operating as a bridge between technical systems, operational teams, and commercial stakeholders. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence without authority across Sales, Product, and Customer Delivery. By coordinating with Design/UX, Content, Analytics and Martech teams, the Specialist ensures that every site change is proven to improve the customer journey and deliver clean, actionable data. Run full QA to ensure tests work on all devices and browsers. Monitor live tests and flag performance drops immediately.
