Job Purpose Joining the Secondaries & Primaries team at Ardian, the Data Science Intern will leverage analytical skills to support investment strategies and decision-making processes. This role involves working closely with both the investment team and the IT department, applying data science methodologies to optimise investment models, analyse market trends, and enhance data driven insights for the Secondaries and Primaries markets. Job Responsibilities Collaborate with the investment team to develop and refine data driven models for investment analysis and portfolio management. Conduct statistical analysis and predictive modelling to identify market opportunities and risks within the Secondaries and Primaries domains. Support the maintenance and improvement of internal databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for analysis purposes. Participate in the development and implementation of new data tools and algorithms to enhance investment strategies. Engage in cross functional projects with the IT and data science teams to streamline data processes and infrastructure. Depending on workload and interests, work on additional topics related to the fund's general investment and asset management activities. Specialised Business and Technical Knowledge Proficiency in Python (including pandas, scikit learn) and SQL. Experience in data visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is advantageous. Interest in the finance and private equity sector, with a desire to understand Secondaries and Primaries market dynamics. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. Experience in developing AI tools is advantageous. Education and Experience At least a second year student, pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field. Previous internship or project experience in data science or a related field. Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is appreciated, along with any programming experience beyond Python and SQL.
