Our client is a leading global manufacturer of high-quality advanced solution street lighting/traffic systems/signage/aluminium structures for the critical infrastructure and industrial sectors across a variety of applications including road, rail, ports, hospitals and exterior commercial projects. Operating in over 50 countries worldwide and employing over 2,500 people within the group, we are seeking a Business Development Manager (UK) to develop key partnerships within routes to market including local authorities, main/sub contractors, specifiers and architects. Responsibilities You will be the person responsible for maintaining and increasing revenue within the full product portfolio, including street lighting, traffic systems, signage and associated aluminium structures Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, partnerships, and product offerings Develop and execute strategies to leverage new business prospects and achieve sales targets Develop and maintain client relationships by understanding their needs and creating technical proposals Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry positioning Work with R&D and commercial teams to meet technical requirements and pursue intellectual property opportunities Enhance company visibility through key industry exhibitions and marketing campaigns, and support the tender process with competitive bids and effective presentations Requirements Strong experience selling through local authorities, main/sub contractors and/or architects & planning consultants Strong understand of sales strategies and techniques, and associated products as outlined (exterior lighting, exterior signage, supporting aluminium structures) Ability to present technical information to client-side Ability to manage large-scale bids and tenders on a national level Ability to manage commercial projects from start to finish Willingness to travel across the UK as required to support large-scale surveys, bids, project management and stakeholder meetings Benefits £60,000-£80,000 base salary negotiable highly dependent on experience + 15% OTE Company Car or Car Allowance Additional benefits: Shares in company Health & Life Insurance Employee wellbeing & rewards 28 days annual leave + bank holidays
