Role We areseekinga skilled and motivatedCommunications Systems Engineerto join our dynamic Engineering Team. The successful candidate will play a key role inthedesign, implementation, and maintenance ofsecure communication systems. You willplay a key role in delivering complex, high-impact solutionsto meet complex operational requirements. As aCommunications Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teamsand work closely with Senior Communications Systems Engineers to design, build, configure,andmaintainmission systems. Keyresponsibilities Systemdesign:Assist in the developmentandoptimisation ofcommunication system architectures to meet project and customer requirements. Implementation andtesting:Build, configure, deploy, and test communication systems, ensuringhighperformance and reliability. Integration: Collaborate with software, hardware, and network teams to integrate communication systems into broader solutions. Problem-solving: Diagnose and resolve issues related to communication system performance and compatibility. Documentation: Prepare andmaintaindetailed technical documentation, including specifications, design documents,and test plans. Technologyresearch: Stayup-to-datewith advancements in communication technologies, applying knowledge to improve systems and processes. Stakeholderengagement: Work closely withSenior Communications Systems Engineers,customersand internal teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that exceed expectations. Qualifications &experience GCSE English andMaths, grade C or above. 2 - 4 years' experience configuring,operatingand securing networks. Knowledge of troubleshooting tools,methodsand processes. Provenexperience ofsupporting production environments. Ability to configure custom GPOs and firewalls to enhance security. Experience withthe configuration of hypervisors and deployment of virtual machines. Experience in the use of Linux command line interface. Familiarity with message formats (desirably tactical data links). Experience in the configuration and maintenance of cloud technologies.
