Responsibilities Build and improve Azure Data & AI platform capabilities that are secure, scalable, reliable and easy for teams to use. Create repeatable deployment patterns using Terraform, GitHub Actions and CI/CD, helping teams release changes with confidence and control. Support robust data engineering patterns across extraction, ingestion, transformation, validation and publication so data products are trusted and fit for purpose. Strengthen platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, runbooks, incident response and root cause analysis. Improve security, access, governance and cost management practices across the platform. Share standards, documentation and best practices that help colleagues adopt reusable platform capabilities and keep improving how we work. What You'll Bring Experience in Azure platform engineering, DevOps automation, cloud infrastructure, data engineering or a similar hands on engineering role. Practical knowledge of Azure Data & AI services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, storage, networking, identity, monitoring and security). Confidence working with Terraform, infrastructure as code, GitHub Actions, Git, CI/CD pipelines, release controls and automated validation. Strong understanding of data engineering concepts: ingestion, orchestration, transformation, data modelling, data quality and observability. Ability to use tools such as SQL, Python, Azure CLI or similar to automate tasks, support workloads and solve operational issues. Collaborative approach with clear communication, sound judgement and confidence to work with data, analytics, security, infrastructure and business stakeholders. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related technical field - or equivalent experience.
