Purpose of the Role Responsible for winning new business and achieving volume and revenue targets by building a strong pipeline of prospects. Responsibilities Develop and execute a sales plan that exceeds volume and revenue budgets. Proactively generate a new business pipeline to secure sufficient active prospects for the financial year. Follow and refine the new business sales process to improve win rate. Ensure all pricing is profitable and maximised, working with the commercial team for clear pricing visibility. Identify market demand gaps and liaise with the commercial team to address them. Maintain accurate CRM data and produce KPIs to measure effectiveness. Build strong relationships with operational teams to ensure excellent customer service. Communicate new business prospects to operations for capacity assessment. Represent Freightliner at relevant external events. Key Requirements Degree level education or equivalent. Experience in new business development, preferably within transport or supply chain. Strong leadership and clear communication skills. Financial literacy and experience in price optimisation. Ability to adapt to commercial challenges and changes. Effective prospect interaction and communication. Experience collaborating with commercial and operational teams. Familiarity with best practice new business sales processes.
