How you will make an impact Based at our Oakthorpe site on continental rotating shifts (12-hour days and nights), you'll support a well-invested plant producing household . You'll carry out reactive, planned and preventive maintenance, using data and problem-solving tools to reduce downtime and improve performance. Execute reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across processing, packing and utilities assets Lead structured problem solving and continuous improvement to enhance OEE and minimise downtime Use CMMS (SAP PM) and reporting suites to plan work, capture data and drive actions Support site projects, including non-capex modifications and CAPEX installations and commissioning Maintain and optimise a wide range of equipment (e.g. pasteurisation, homogenisers, separators, evaporators, dryers, fillers, palletisers, conveyors, robots, vision/X ray systems, HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressors, CHP) What will make you successful You will bring a time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3/ONC/HNC/HND (or proven equivalent experience), along with your background as a multiskilled maintenance or engineering technician, whether in mechanical or electrical disciplines. You will have experience working in fast-paced, automated, and safety critical manufacturing environments, ideally within FMCG, and you will be computer literate, confident using SAP and Microsoft Office, and familiar with SCADA, HMIs, and Trend systems. Personally, you will be ambitious and driven, taking a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement; you will demonstrate strong problem solving skills, approaching challenges methodically and analytically, and remaining calm under pressure. Taw Valley Creamery, Devon We have an exciting Logistics Technician role to join our Taw Valley Creamery team. This is especially exciting as the creamery is undergoing a major transformation, thanks to a £179 million investment. As this project evolves and the site expands so will the opportunities to make an impact. We are looking for somebody who is highly motivated with great communicating skills, who is happy to work within a small team and a critical department of the business. The role will be shift based, working 12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern with rotating days and nights. How you will make an impact Responsible for loading Mozzarella pallets onto lorries using a Forklift Truck (FLT) and shunting trailers between the trailer yard and loading docks. Acts as the senior team member outside of standard hours, taking a lead role in departmental operations. Coordinates shift handovers, facilitates team collaboration, and handles initial problem-solving and issue escalation Execute and maintain rigorous hygiene protocols associated with food processing, ensuring compliance with food safety standards Ideally an experienced Counterbalance/Reach truck driver What will make you successful The ideal candidate will have experience with either forklift truck (FLT) operation or yard shunting, with a strong willingness to learn additional equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, or HIABs. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, though full training will be provided. You should be able to support your team, make sound decisions to protect quality and food safety, and take accountability for your own tasks. Strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a basic understanding of logistics principles such as 5S, Gemba, or Kaizen are desirable. The role also offers opportunities to train in areas such as Food Safety Level 3, HACCP Level 3, Train the Trainer, and Internal Audit Level 3.
