Data QA Engineer Department: IT & Change Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Manchester, UK Description We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced QA Engineer to play a foundational role in a newly formed Data-focused team. This position demands a quality-first mindset, strong test engineering capabilities, and proven experience validating data-intensive, cloud-native solutions. In this role, you'll partner closely with Data Engineers, Data Stewards, and business stakeholders to ensure data products and pipelines are reliable, accurate, and fit for purpose while proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings strength in both manual and automated testing and thrives in a hands-on, collaborative, fast-paced agile environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for data pipelines, datasets, and related data products. Proactively identify quality risks, testing gaps, and areas for improved QA coverage Identify, document, and track defects in Azure DevOps Partner closely with Data Engineers to drive timely defect fixes and verify remediation. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen quality processes, documentation, and overall release readiness. Provide input into long-term QA strategy and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned About you Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferable. Proven QA/testing experience with data-intensive applications, ideally within cloud-native environments. Strong command of testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, performance) and defect lifecycle management. Hands-on experience with test automation (e.g., Python or similar) and writing SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation. Experience testing data warehouses/lakes and pipelines; familiarity with data quality concepts and tooling is a plus. Exposure to Microsoft Azure services and modern data platforms (e.g., Synapse, Snowflake). Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting. Understanding of loan lifecycle data (servicing, arrears, recoveries, asset resolution) or the ability to ramp up quickly. Resourceful, motivated self-starter with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams

Cloud Engineer Department: IT & Change Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Manchester, UK Description The Cloud Engineer will play a key role in operating, supporting and evolving Arrow's multi-cloud estate, with AWS as the primary platform and Azure as a secondary environment. Working within the Technology team, you will help design and implement secure, scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure that underpins critical business and investment platforms. This is a hands on engineering role suited to a pragmatic technologist who thrives in a fast moving environment. You will contribute to infrastructure as code initiatives, hybrid connectivity, governance controls and cloud optimisation, while collaborating closely with Information Security, Data and wider IT teams. Key Responsibilities Operate and support our AWS (primary) and Azure (secondary) environments in production Contribute to the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform, following an infrastructure-as-code-first approach Support hybrid connectivity between cloud and on prem environments Assist in implementing governance controls across multi account AWS environments Support Azure platform services including Virtual Machines, networking, storage and identity Monitor cloud environments for security, performance and cost optimisation Contribute to disaster recovery design and resilience testing across AWS and Azure Work closely with Information Security to maintain secure cloud configurations Support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments Provide technical escalation support to the wider IT team Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the team Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to modernise and enhance the cloud platform About you Strong hands on AWS experience in production environments Experience with multi account AWS environments (AWS Organizations preferred) Solid working knowledge of Azure infrastructure services Experience in hybrid cloud environments between cloud and on prem Strong understanding of cloud networking fundamentals (VPC/VNet, DNS, VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute) In depth knowledge of IAM, RBAC and cloud security best practices Experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, Load Balancing, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch) Experience supporting Azure VMs, VNets, Storage Accounts and Entra ID (Azure AD) Hands on Terraform experience, including writing reusable modules (required) Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments Experience monitoring production environments, incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Data Analyst Department: IT & Change Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Manchester, UK Description We are building a new, data-focused team and are looking for experienced Data Analysts who are passionate about Data to come work with us. In this role, you will quickly interpret and validate data, identify key trends & drivers, and clearly present findings to the broader team. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, detail-oriented, and highly analytical, with hands on Excel and SQL skills. Ultimately, the Data Analyst must thrive on 'being in the data' and partner closely with Data Stewards and Data Engineering to ensure data is well understood, well governed, and processed reliably at scale. Key Responsibilities Exploratory Data Analysis of structured and unstructured datasets Extensive Data Profiling using Excel, SQL and bespoke tools Segmentation, anomaly/outlier detection, trending analysis Reconcile and validate data across multiple sources Present findings in plain language, including limitations and confidence levels Support Data Stewards with Data Discovery & Insights Support Data Engineering in the onboarding/integration of new datasets Ensure proper handling of sensitive data (PII) Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field is preferable Proven experience in a Data Analyst / Business Intelligence / Analytics role, ideally in financial services or alternative investments A background in financial data domains (IBOR/ABOR, transactions, market data, reference data) Resourceful, motivated self starter with strong attention to detail.
