Job Title:Work Placement Coordinator - Digital Curriculum Department:Digital Reporting to:Associate Director Curriculum, Digital Contract: NSG Business Support, Full Time, Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week Salary:£25,276 to £30,390 per annum Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays Pension: NEST Pension Scheme The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to support the development and delivery of work placement opportunities within our Digital department, including T Levels. You will be responsible for identifying and securing placement opportunities, building strong employer partnerships, and coordinating placements to ensure students within the Digital department are well prepared and make meaningful progress in the workplace. Key Responsibilities Maintain, review, develop and increase the work placement opportunities across a range of courses in the department including T Levels. Support, monitor and record the progress of students in their workplace setting and review SMART targets for students on the college systems. Meet with students prior to their placements and discuss their needs and the college's expectations of students whilst on placement. Facilitate interview and recruitment processes with employers where required to secure work placement opportunities for students. Carry out workplace Health & Safety Vetting and complete relevant records in line with the college policy and procedure. Qualifications Good general education to at least Level 3 or equivalent. Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent). IOSH (Managing Safely) qualification or willingness to work towards it. Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards it. Skills & Experience IT skills appropriate to the needs of the post. Ability and communication skills to build relationships, in particular with students from age 16 to adults and employers. Knowledge and understanding of the further education curriculum, including T Levels (Desirable). Proven ability in administration or project work and good written communication skills.
