We are looking for a Business Analyst with Bioanalytical Sciences experience Overview Our Clients Bioanalytical Discovery & Development Sciences department is going through a Digital Transformation, moving away from a highly diverse legacy apps landscape into a new Next Gen laboratory execution platform. This Digital Transformation focuses on integrating advanced bioanalytical assays (qPCR, LC-MS, LBA, ADA/Nab, ) into a new LabVantage platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements, documenting workflows, and contributing to the successful implementation of laboratory information management systems (LIMS). Responsibilities Engage with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather business requirements for integrating bioanalytical assays and other laboratory processes into the Labvantage LIMS system. Document detailed business and functional requirements, utilizing User Stories and Gherkin syntax, to clearly communicate needs to the development team and test automation team. Work closely with functional analysts to ensure a comprehensive understanding of how business requirements translate into system functionalities. Develop and document business sub-workflows that accurately reflect laboratory operations and data management practices. Assist the testing team in defining test scope, understanding system functionalities, reviewing test scripts, and ensuring alignment with business requirements. Facilitate the creation and review of UAT (User Acceptance Testing) test scripts, ensuring they accurately reflect business needs. Utilize Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and tools such as JIRA and XRAY to manage project tasks and workflows effectively. Promote the concept of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to focus on delivering essential functionalities that meet business needs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of LIMS, biobanking, ELN, reagents, instruments, storage solutions, and other relevant technologies. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related life sciences field. Lab experience is highly regarded. Experience and Skills Proven track record as a Business Analyst within the bioanalytical, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors. Experience with Labvantage LIMS or similar laboratory information management systems. Strong understanding of laboratory processes and data management, including LIMS, ELN, biobanking, and the management of reagents, instruments, and storage. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with familiarity in using JIRA and XRAY for project management and testing. Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise business/functional requirements and to assist in the development of test scripts.
