Senior Security Incident Engineer needed based near Bank tube station London. Job Role - The Duties of the Senior Security Incident Engineer include; directing and coordinating incident activities and re-mediating computer security incidents, involving various lines of business and operational groups. You must be able to review and track detected incidents, identify new exploits and/or threats, develop mitigation strategies, and enforce incident reporting standards. You will be required to investigate and contain threats involved in an IT Security incident and communicate this information swiftly and effectively to management. Develop and contribute to incident response framework, requirements and strategy. Conduct Investigations and eDiscovery efforts involving court-proven forensic processes and technologies. Conduct post-mortem evaluations on cyber security incidents Monitors efforts of less experienced peers and team members and provides input on performance appraisals. Skills The ideal candidate will have; 7 years minimum Information Security experience. Strong Information Security experience, from a; Banking, Finance or Investment background. Knowledge of; Cyber-kill Chain, Cyber-intelligence Trends, Windows API & internals, Malware Analysis, Host & Network-based IOC's, Network & Internet Security protocols, Web Architecture and development technologies. Maintain and develop currency and relevance of technical competence, with Avaya and Cisco, seeking and applying relevant training opportunities, self-learning and best practice Skills required: Experience as a Networking Specialist Engineer in a Customer Service/Managed Service environment Working knowledge and adherence to ISO27001 guideline Specialised knowledge of routing and switching Routinely manage complex changes and networking problems in specialist areas LAN, WAN and VPN/Security Good knowledge of Cisco or Avaya IPT and converged network environments Routing protocols eg BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP etc...
