Ideal candidates should possess expertise in safeguarding, financial and audit practices, legal or regulatory matters, as well as marketing and communications. About the Position We are seeking one to two new trustees for Project ImpACT, a growing and popular charity that promotes good citizenship among Jewish teens. Key Areas of Expertise Safeguarding Financial and audit Legal or regulatory Marketing and communications Key Responsibilities Develop and agree a long term strategy to pursue the charity's objectives. Ensure compliance with the constitution, charity law and all relevant regulations. Apply the charity's resources exclusively for charitable objects and for public benefit. Define goals and evaluate performance against agreed targets. Safeguard the good name and values of Project ImpACT. Ensure effective and efficient administration, including policies and procedures. Maintain the financial stability of the charity. Protect and manage the property and invest the charity's funds appropriately. Follow proper arrangements for the appointment, supervision, support, appraisal and remuneration of the chief executive. Use your specific skills to help the board reach sound decisions, by scrutinising papers, leading discussions, focusing on key issues, or advising on new initiatives. Spend One Morning Supporting 80+ Charities, and Enjoy Every Minute The Maccabi GB Community Fun Run will take place on Sunday, 21st June 2026 at a North West London location. Runners will be raising thousands of pounds for their favourite charities around a 10km, 5km or 1km track. Volunteers are crucial to ensuring the event runs smoothly and helps generate an incredible atmosphere. Volunteer Roles Welcome Desk Volunteers (9:00am - 1:00pm, 10 positions): Welcome charity runners, process payments using an online system, and distribute race kits to those already registered. Start & Finish Line Support (10:15am - 1:30pm, 5 positions): Help manage the flow of runners at the start and finish lines, congratulate them, and hand out medals. Route Marshals (9:45am - 12:30pm, 10 positions): Be on the course to guide runners, offer encouragement, and ensure everyone stays on track. Water Station Assistant (10:15am - 12:30pm, 9 positions): Keep runners refreshed by refilling cups and handing out water along the route. Food Court Volunteers (11:00am - 2:30pm, 3 positions): Ensure the area stays organized and welcoming by distributing water, managing queues at food stations, and maintaining smooth flow for food providers. The Foundation's vision is to enable Bevis Marks' living community to thrive and develop the Synagogue into a vibrant meeting place which welcomes visitors of all faiths and none to celebrate and learn about the history, culture and traditions of the Spanish and Portuguese Jewish community. Visitor Experience at Bevis Marks Synagogue We are due to open the new Dangoor Heritage Centre soon! Would you like to join our team to welcome visitors at this exciting new visitor attraction? We are building a team of Volunteers who will help us share the unique stories of the Spanish & Portuguese Sephardi community with the public. Our new galleries display paintings, Judaica, silver, archives, and other treasures belonging to our community. The Dangoor Heritage Centre will for the first time welcome a wide range of people to discover more about the Sephardi community. Are you passionate about heritage and culture and engaging with people? We are looking for volunteers to: provide a warm welcome and assist with ticket purchases help our visitors find their way around the site and use our specially recorded audio guide encourage participation in family activities support our giftshop and kosher café help with research and guiding Throughout your shift, there will be an opportunity to get involved in different elements of the visitors' journey. There will be opportunities for regular shifts, or more occasional volunteering. What additional skills or experience you should have You don't need specialist knowledge or experience. We are simply looking for people who are friendly and welcoming, and enjoy being part of a team. If you have good communication skills and desire to help others, you will enjoy being part of our community. You don't need to be Jewish to apply.
