Rational Suite Developer - RTC/RQM Contract: 8 months, Location: Coventry & Warwickshire Rate: £37.80ph Ltd/Umbrella Company As the successful Developer who has in-depth experience of the IBM Rational suite of tools (preferably RTC/RQM and Doors) and the ability to configure the toolset. Working in the Electronic Systems and Software team which is part of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) department that is responsible for all aspects of the Tools and Technologies used in this Electronic Systems and Software domain Area of Responsibility Development of consistent methodologies for RTC and to ensure integration of RTC with other tools sets including Doors and RQM. Administration of IBM RTC including technical support and develop of best practise methods Support development and introduction of best practise for Software Development including AGILE/SCRUM methodologies. Pro-actively support the continuous improvement of PMTI methods by working closely with stakeholders, including IT and software suppliers. Provide cover for administrative duties on IBM ClearCase and ClearQuest applications. Provide general administration duties to support team including preparation of metrics as required Key tasks: Progressively develop the RTC application to best practice through introduction of incremental improvements to the application against project timelines. To provide operational support of the RTC application. To receive and respond to helpdesk calls and facilitate users to access and optimally use the application. To transfer project activities to business as usual. Act as the interface for the RTC application with customers and other third parties including IBM. Provide secondary support for associated application such as ClearCase and CleaarQuest. Produce and deliver as required training materials, including Tips and Techniques, to promote and ensure best practise of the application. Interface to and integrate the clients community with the Electronic Systems and Software and extended PLM team. Deliver specific initiatives as small projects acting in the role of project manager to methodologies of PLM team.
