We're looking for a Senior Consultant to design and deliver cloud and infrastructure solutions across Microsoft technologies. You'll take ownership of more complex projects, guide customers through change, and help shape how we deliver solutions as a team. What you'll be doing Designing and delivering complex infrastructure and cloud solutions Leading projects end to end, often across multiple phases Making key technical decisions around architecture, security, and performance Working closely with customers to understand requirements and shape solutions Handling project handovers into support, making sure everything is clean and well documented Mentoring junior consultants and supporting delivery standards across the team The kind of tech involved Azure and Microsoft 365 Entra ID, Security, and Identify Management Windows Server and core infrastructure Networking, VPN's and Firewalls Backup and disaster recovery What we're looking for Strong experience in a senior infrastructure or consultancy role Someone who takes ownership and leads from the front Comfortable designing solutions, not just delivering them Confident working directly with customers and senior stakeholders Solid Technical background across cloud, infrastructure and security Able to balance technical quality with real world practicality Exposure to pre sales or shaping solutions with customers Mentoring or supporting more junior engineers Input into technical standards or ways of working Typical work Complex Microsoft 365 and Azure Migrations Infrastructure Design and modernization Security and identity transformations Server and platform upgrades Multi site network and connectivity improvements Why Join The HBP Group? You're a highly experienced Infrastructure & Cloud Consultant with a strong background in leading complex, high impact solutions. You don't just deliver projects, you shape them. You act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, designing and architecting Microsoft based infrastructure and cloud solutions that align with business goals, not just technical requirements. You're comfortable influencing decisions, guiding cloud strategy, and providing expert recommendations to senior stakeholders, including C-suite. You bring deep expertise across Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, identity, security, and networking, and have a proven track record of delivering complex, multi phase and multi site projects. You're confident owning technical delivery end-to-end from pre sales input and solution design through to implementation, quality assurance, and successful transition into service. You naturally take on a leadership role within delivery teams, acting as the technical escalation point, setting standards, and ensuring consistency across projects. You review and validate the work of others, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to raising the overall capability of the Professional Services function. You're commercially aware and understand how infrastructure decisions impact business outcomes. You're confident challenging assumptions, pushing back on unrealistic designs or timelines, and offering well structured, scalable alternatives that balance risk, cost, and long term value. You thrive in customer facing environments, building strong relationships and delivering a calm, confident experience throughout the project lifecycle. You communicate complex concepts clearly, helping organisations adopt new technologies with minimal disruption while ensuring they feel fully enabled and supported. Beyond delivery, you contribute strategically to the business helping evolve technical standards, improve delivery frameworks, and shape the future of infrastructure and cloud services. You actively identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and innovation, ensuring solutions remain modern, competitive, and aligned to best practice.
