Morson Talent are currently looking to recruit a Telecommunications Field Service Engineer. This is a permanent position. Due to travel distance applicants will be required to be living in the Suffolk region. JOB PURPOSE To provide technical support to a national security infrastructure programme in outdoor locations, by resolving incidents and undertaking commissioning and planned maintenance as required. The system is a networked electronic detection system making use of electro-mechanical and network technologies. Applicants will typically come from a Telecoms, EPOS, security systems i.e. alarms, CCTV etc background and be used to working shift patterns on-call basis. The Field Service Engineer operates within a defined geographic area and as such will require regular travel and good use of communications technologies to maintain contact with team members and Customers. TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS Proficient in using instrumentation equipment and application software related to the field activities, including Power Ups, UPSs, Fibre knowledge, Imagery Systems/Cameras and knowledge of Traffic Management Systems an advantage but not essential. Must be a confident problem solver. A strong demonstrable sense of H&S awareness is essential. Ability to build relationships quickly with Customers and other Stakeholders. Team player capable of working from own initiative with minimal guidance. Good Customer facing skills are mandatory. A team player with a proactive attitude to collective responsibility for the team and its workload. Willingness to take on new challenges combined with the ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment. Must be able to work at heights. UK or EU driving license.

Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on OT Cyber Security Engineer to join a specialist Industrial Cyber Security team supporting cybersecurity implementation across operational technology (OT) environments. This role involves a blend of technical execution, solution configuration, documentation, stakeholder support, and training , with the opportunity to work directly on live operational networks and large-scale industrial systems. You will support the deployment and validation of cybersecurity solutions, collaborate with internal product and engineering teams, and help strengthen cybersecurity capability across multiple business functions. This is a hands-on role and would suit a Control Systems Engineer or OT Security Specialist who has experience working in industrial environments (Energy, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, etc.). Key Responsibilities Report to the Lead Industrial Cyber Security Execution Manager and support cyber project delivery. Hands-on configuration of OT network components, remote access solutions, and virtualized environments (eg, VMware). Validate and update existing technical documentation to cybersecurity standards. This role will give you the chance to work closely with engineering and development teams, embedding security into the development lifecycle, driving automation, and influencing remediation plans that have real impact. The IT Security Risk & Compliance Lead plays a central role across Cyber and Information security. The primary purpose of this role is to manage and influence all aspects of security risk management activity across the Group, but particularly in respect to IT and Information Security. You will also assist in the delivery of Security Policy, Data Classification, and Compliance Management in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements. You will help develop the compliance knowledge and skills through the rollout of tools, policies and procedures, formal training and coaching and mentoring, working with individual Project Teams and Asset Owners ensuring that they understand their security responsibilities. You will also deliver against the business strategy, the technical roadmap and objectives set out in the Security strategy covering Operational Information, Cyber, Digital and Physical.
