SQL Database Infrastructure Engineer 12 Month FTC Salary upto £52,000 PA, Plus 17.5% Bonus & Fantastic Benefits Package Location: Hybrid working - Travel to Warwickshire as required - Candidates UK wide can be considered Are you an experienced Infrastructure/Database professional with a background in SQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL? A superb Fixed Term Contract opportunity has become available with our leading financial services client to provide technical ownership of the Database Estate, maintain its stability, and ensure secure and robust solutions. As a highly accomplished SQL SME, your key dutes will include - Provide technical advisory support for projects and respond to database related P1, P2 and P3 incidents. Review and approve change requests across the database estate, assess potential impacts, and communicate detailed reviews to stakeholders. Assess database performance, recommend improvements, define guardrails and build standards, and ensure third party providers comply. Evaluate and advise on consolidation opportunities and cost savings across the database environment. Represent the team on the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to evaluate, prioritise, approve or reject changes to the Network infrastructure. Collaborate with external IT partners and vendors to drive service improvements. The successful candidate will be an SME in SQL and possess experience in: Microsoft SQL - essential Oracle and PostgreSQL - preferable Database migrations and consolidation - essential Database observability and troubleshooting - essential Cloud technologies (Azure SQL, PaaS) - essential Governance or architectural practices within a regulated industry - advantageous If your profile demonstrates strong and recent experience in the above areas - please submit your application to Jackie Dean at TXP for consideration.

Senior Data Scientist - Contract £700-£850 per day Inside IR35 Hybrid (1 day per week London) We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to design and deliver advanced risk and predictive models within complex, highly regulated environments. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, risk, and decision science, focusing on building models that enable organisations to identify emerging threats, quantify risk exposure, and make informed, evidence-based decisions. You'll work across large, complex, and often sensitive data sets to develop modelling frameworks that support real-world, high-impact outcomes. Key responsibilities: Design and develop advanced risk models, including predictive, probabilistic, and scenario-based modelling approaches Apply data science techniques to risk scoring, anomaly detection, and threat assessment across complex datasets Build and deploy machine learning models into production, ensuring scalability and robustness Develop scenario simulations to model potential risks, behaviours, and outcomes under uncertainty Analyse patterns, trends, and outliers to identify emerging threats and risk indicators Translate business and regulatory requirements into practical analytical frameworks Communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Essential experience: Strong Python data science stack (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) Proven delivery of complex models (predictive, probabilistic, simulation-based) in real environments Deep experience in risk modelling, including risk scoring frameworks, predictive risk analytics, and scenario modelling Experience in threat detection / anomaly detection, such as fraud, compliance, safety, or security use cases Strong grounding in statistics, hypothesis testing, and experimental design Experience working with large, complex, and messy data sets Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or other highly regulated sectors This is a high-impact contract for a hands-on data scientist who thrives on solving complex risk problems, building sophisticated models, and helping organisations stay ahead of emerging threats in regulated environments.

SAS Model Developer Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week) Rate: £400/day Inside IR35 Duration: 3-month rolling contract Overview: We're looking for an experienced SAS Model Developer to support model development, enhancement, and deployment across a large-scale data and analytics environment. This role will focus on building and optimising SAS-based models, supporting the full model development lifecycle from data preparation and feature engineering through to testing, validation, and production deployment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance statistical, predictive, and pricing models using SAS Build modelling datasets, feature engineering pipelines, and variable transformations Develop SAS programs using: o Base SAS o SAS Macros o Data Step o SAS SQL Support automated model execution, scoring, and monitoring processes Conduct model testing, validation, back-testing, and performance analysis Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights Produce technical documentation, model artefacts, and governance outputs Support deployment and productionisation of models within controlled environments Work closely with data engineering and technology teams to support implementation What We're Looking For Strong hands-on SAS programming experience Experience across: o SAS Base o SAS Macros o SAS SQL o SAS Enterprise Guide / SAS Studio Experience developing and deploying predictive or statistical models Strong understanding of: Regression models , Forecasting, Segmentation , Risk or pricing models Experience working across the full model development lifecycle Strong data analysis, transformation, and feature engineering capability Comfortable working with large and complex datasets
