Job ProfileThe successful engineer will be multi-skilled with strong experience within the fire andelectronic security systems industry. You must possess sound knowledge of current standards andlegislation and able to demonstrate recent relevant experience. You will be responsible for servicing,maintenance, installations, fault finding, rectification and problem solving, commissioning, anddocumenting for a wide range of electronic security and fire alarm systems including emergency lighting.Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years previous experience within the Electronic Security and FireAlarm Industry. FIA or BS5839 training would be a distinct advantage. The ability to cover a 24-hourcall-out on a rota basis is essential to be considered for this position.You will be required to service the companys product portfolio for existing and new business and providesupport to clients as and when required. You will be a hands-on field engineer responsible for the planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive fault response, and small works installation across a portfolio of commercial clients in and around Bristol. Working across fire alarm and security systems. Service & Maintenance Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable), intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, ensuring systems are returned to full working order with minimal disruption to the client Complete accurate service records and maintenance reports on a PDA or job management system Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant British Standards (BS 5839, BS EN 50131, BS 7671) Reactive Works Respond promptly to reactive call-outs within agreed SLA timescales Liaise professionally with clients on-site, providing clear communication around fault findings and remedial actions Escalate complex technical issues appropriately and follow through to resolution Small Works & Installations Carry out small works installations including additions and alterations to existing fire and security systems Install new devices, panels, and ancillary equipment as required on minor projects Ensure all installations meet current standards and are handed over to the client with appropriate documentation Compliance & Administration Maintain accurate site logs, risk assessments, and method statements Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with company health & safety policies Raise quotes for additional works identified during site visits Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota as required Package £35,000 £45,000 salary depending on experience Company van and fuel card Mobile phone and tools provided 28 days holiday including bank holidays Pension scheme Ongoing manufacturer and industry training Clear progression pathways within a growing national business Supportive team culture with a 24-hour helpdesk to back you up in the field JBRP1_UKTJ
