The Senior Service Reliability & Automation Engineer will play an important part in delivering on the functional strategy which underpins the company's business strategy - through a key focus on service availability, speed of delivery and customer intimacy the role holder is able to drive competitive advantage and assist the organisation meet its growth targets. The company routes and delivers hundreds of millions of SMS messages globally each month, managed from its operations in the UK, Australia, and Singapore. Responsibilities: - Lead Dialogue's migration to a cloud architecture and DevOps methodologies across the technical teams - Identify and implement strategies for developing the production infrastructure and delivery pipeline through a process of continuous improvement - Document and refine standards and processes as required - Develop and manage relationships with business areas, suppliers and others as appropriate to ensure that current and future solutions are fit for purpose and optimised to maximise return - A focus on customer intimacy by continual improvement of service levels to improve the customer experience - Identification of risk in support of the operational risk management framework Skills & Experience: - Experience with deploying a service platform to the public cloud - Working in a test driven development environment - Experience with continuous integration technologies such as Jenkins - Competent user in a Linux development environment - Understanding of MySQL in high performance and high availability contexts is beneficial. - Experience with version control (preferably git) - Exposure to Mobile Technologies, especially messaging - C / Java / Perl desirable - Proven track record of designing, implementing and supporting robust infrastructure environments and related services for high and variable demand services. - Team player, ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and excellent written and verbal communication skills This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Service Reliability & Automation Engineer to take a stake in transforming this exciting fast growing business.
