We are currently seeking a Multiskilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our expanding team in the West Midlands region. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, service, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting. Key Responsibilities: Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control systems, emergency lighting, and associated equipment. Perform fault finding, repairs, and servicing on a range of fire and security systems. Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring all work is completed to industry standards and in line with customer requirements. Carry out risk assessments and surveys to ensure system compliance and customer satisfaction. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all installations and maintenance are compliant with relevant British Standards and industry regulations (e.g., BS 5839, BS 6266, NSI, BAFE). Complete accurate service reports, installation records, and certification as required. Call-Outs & Emergency Response: Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, providing emergency support and repairs when necessary. Training & Development: Keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends. Attend training sessions as required to ensure continued professional development. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience working as a Fire and Security Engineer, with a strong background in the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting. Experience working with a wide range of fire and security systems, including both wired and wireless technologies. Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., BS 5839, BS 6266, NSI, BAFE). Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Certifications: FIA (Fire Industry Association) qualifications, or equivalent, desirable. Relevant CSCS or ECS card. Full UK driving license. Skills: Excellent communication and customer-facing skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fire and Security Engineer, located in Greater London. The role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarms, burglar alarms, AOV systems, CCTV systems, access control systems, and more. Responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of fire and security systems on-site. Your main duty as a Senior Systems Engineer is to undertake work on Security & Fire Systems that mainly falls into the below categories: • Planned preventative maintenance/servicing of systems. • Installation of systems. • Repair of systems. • Leadership and on-site management of works. You are expected to hold and maintain high levels of service and always represent the goals and visions of the company. You are expected to perform the duties of a Systems Engineer as below: • Systems engineers will be a key point of contact for a number of customers, and be responsible for ensuring their security engineering needs are met. • Hold a high level of communication with operational staff regarding travel, jobs and issues. • Always stay professional and adhere to the companies Health, Safety, Welfare & Responsibilities policy. • Ensure Customer documentation is current and in good condition. • Always deliver excellent Customer Service. • Liaise with customers and operational staff to agree the best course of action. • Ability to work alone or as part of a team. • Maintain high levels of workmanship. • Take onboard advice and learn from engineers within the team. • Ensure your time is managed correctly. • Provide detailed and well written work reports. • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop. Some additional key duties and responsibilities as a Senior: • Feedback progress of engineers you are leading to operational management. • Ensure you are maintaining the balance of allowing those less experienced to lead at times while providing guidance when necessary. • Be the key point of contact for issues while on jobs and provide experienced insight to operational staff of potential problems on the horizon, if applicable. • Lead multiple member teams and sub-contractors, if necessary, while enforcing the high standard of work required by the company.
