This hands on leadership role combines day to day technical delivery with strategic planning, vendor management and service performance accountability. You will be responsible for both on premises and cloud environments and be the primary contact for all infrastructure matters. THE CANDIDATE Experienced in providing 2nd/3rd line technical support in an IT Infrastruture role, you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a leadership/senior capacity with service ownership across microsoft 365, networking basics, hardware, security, and the use of support tools. THE ROLE The role of Trainee Applications Engineer within their state of the art machining department is to provide customers with technical engineering requirements, a high level of technical expertise and information both pre and post sales. Duties include: Pre Sales technical Support to Sales Engineers Demonstrating machinery including EDM and Milling (Electro Discharge Machines) Training operatives from the Midlands centre of excellence Post Sales technical back up/Customer support THE PERSON In order to succeed in the role of Trainee Applications Engineer in the team you will ideally be working in an Applications Engineer role currently or a programming or machining role with good experience of Electro discharge machines, milling machines etc. This role will also suit a production or Manufacturing engineer etc that is looking to move from a shop floor role into a more professional engineering position that offers excellent benefits, training and progression.
