Role Overview The Microsoft 365 Architect is a senior, hands on engineering and operations role responsible for the design and day to day management of the global Microsoft 365 environment. The role combines strategic platform architecture with practical administration and L3/L4 support, ensuring services are secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design: Define and evolve architecture for M365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive. Governance & Compliance: Establish tenant wide policies for data protection, retention, and regulatory compliance. Platform Administration & Monitoring: Administer and troubleshoot M365 services to ensure performance and availability. Incident Management & Escalation: Act as SME and escalation point for complex issues, performing root cause analysis. Migrations & Projects: Lead tenant to tenant migrations and coordinate global delivery. Automation & Tooling: Develop PowerShell automation and improve reporting and efficiency. Documentation: Maintain runbooks and documentation for operational consistency. Collaboration & Leadership: Work with global stakeholders and provide technical leadership.
