Role Overview and Responsibilities Electronics Harness and Wireperson is a key role in the manufacture of sub assemblies & rack systems working within the operations department. The working hours for this role are 07h15 to 17h30, Monday to Thursday. Key Responsibilities Manufacture checks & follow detailed build instructions to a high degree of accuracy. Manufacture product in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints. Complete manufacturing tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls. The role requires a zero tolerance to defects. Proactive outlook on an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvement. Work within a zero harm culture. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Core Requirements Experience in Aerospace industry or similar industry. Extensive experience in working in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print environments, and design to spec environments. Excellent communication skills. Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines. Experience in the use of ERP/Shop booking systems. Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential and strong attention to detail. Able to work as part of a team in order to satisfy the needs of schedules and deadlines. Accreditations in IPC 610/620 or recognised similar such as ESA/ECSS. Desirable Skills and Experience Experience of Accredited Quality Systems such as ISO9001 or AS9100. Knowledge or experience of Lean manufacturing or production techniques. Formal Apprenticeship. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Core Requirements Proven track record of Safety and working as a willing, competent member of a team. Willingness to undertake annual Eye Examination & colour blindness checks. Flexible in approach, with willingness to learn new skills. Undertake learning programmes such as IPC 610/620 ISO quality controls as necessary. Close attention to detail, in terms of adhering accurately to internal specifications/test programmes and or customer specifications/drawings test specs. Ability to work in an orderly manner and organised in a 6S environment. Zero defects right first-time attitude. Able to work to required Key Point Indicators (KPI) with respect to quality of work, performance & output. Identifying & raising problems to the team (immediate/Wider). Working closely with the immediate/wider team to support OTTP delivery within a Zero Defects culture. Highlighting quality issues where required. Travel may be required to support business needs. In this role you will be responsible for providing day to day production support, implementing process improvements and participating with new equipment and product introductions. Key Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, key duties and responsibilities will include: Supporting production with the running of automated test equipment. Setting up and maintaining electrical measurement systems. Evaluating and interpreting customer test specifications. Designing and constructing test hardware. Modifying/generating test code. Developing an understanding of the production test machinery and becoming the in house expert on its function and use. Researching, designing, and developing equipment/processes to optimise productivity and workflow. Updating/producing technical documentation such as circuit diagrams, test procedures and operating instructions. Identifying and procuring new test equipment. Providing training to and supporting production operators. Working with Quality to develop golden samples required for day to day checks on machines. Overseeing the calibration and controlling the movement of test equipment within production. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Core Requirements HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or equivalent. Relevant experience in an electronics production environment. Good fault diagnosis skills down to component level. Experience using test instrumentation such as Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators and Digital Multimeters. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team, but able to tackle solo projects when needed. A keen interest in software programming (Labview, CVI, Python, VB, C++). Desirable Skills and Experience Knowledge of remote Instrumentation control. Practical electronics skills.
