Devops Specialist 6 Month Initial Contract Solihull Leading Utilities Client My Client are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience of leading the implementation and adoption of a Continuous Integration (CD) toolsets in a multi-project delivery environment across multiple sites. This is to work on the initial implementation of the toolsets for a leading Utility ensuring successful implementation, adoption and roadmap strategy for the toolset is achieved. * The Devops specialist will be the senior design authority responsible for establishing a CD capability and practice that encompasses the People, Process and Technology aspects of Continuous Delivery * This role will lead the development of a target operating model for CD and establish a transformation roadmap to deliver the target state. * leading the shaping and implementation of the DevOps tooling, processes and systems for continuous delivery (CD) and continuous integration (CI) * working with Solution Architects and IS delivery teams to determine the optimal design for hosting and manage business systems and mobile apps * defining and establishing best-practice standards to be deployed for CI across different projects and delivery use cases Key Skills and Experience required: * Extensive knowledge of continuous delivery and continuous integration tools such as: * Version control systems (e.g. Subversion, git, clearcase, clearquest) * Automation / build - (e.g. Jenkins, nexus, ivy) * Code quality & testing tools (e.g. Sonarcube, selenium, junit, etc) * Artefacts repositories (e.g. Nexus) * Configuration management systems (such as chef, ansible, puppet) * Platforms - aix, linux, wintel, ios * Networks - tcp/ip, dns, ldap, ad * Strong understanding of scalable infrastructure design principles * Expert level of understanding of source-code management principles and systems (particularly git) * A good understanding of unix/linux administration * Led standardisation efforts for deployment scripts / processes

Working as the Senior Lead Developer within the commercial planning team the successful candidate will be Leading the evolution of the team's software engineering practices and architecture, recommending changes in development, maintenance and system standards., understanding the various products and services in the team and spending time performing code reviews, suggesting best practice improvements and confidently and competently impart knowledge to developers and other team members to improve the technical capability of the team. The team has responsibility for creating and maintaining two enterprise services and own a number of existing and in development products which support the commercial team in selecting and planning products and then the Space, Range and Display of these to stores. Skills and Experience: * Previous Web Analytics experience gained within either a B2B or B2C environment. * Pro-active and results orientated, able to work independently as well as within a team. * Previous Web Analyst experience gained in a large customer centric organisation * Excellent project management skills and attention to detail. * Experience of Social Media campaigns using Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn * Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to translate data into commercial actionable plans and present to Senior Management Teams. * Experience of analysing complex data and large data volumes. * Knowledge and application of best practice customer insight principles. * A demonstrable background in online web analyst research. * A proven track record of identifying business growth opportunities using data analysis. * Knowledge of Advanced MS Excel and VBA programming. * Experience of web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA), IBM Tealeaf, Spring Metrics * Experience of building statistical models (logistic, regression, clustering etc.) * Good IT skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Basic
