Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support and troubleshooting to both engineers and end users across fire and security systems. Use remote diagnostic tools and telephone support to resolve issues, reducing the need for field engineer callouts. Prioritise workload to ensure contractual deadlines are met. Handle customer calls with professionalism, meeting internal service standards. Support the Service Scheduling team when required. Deliver accurate, timely information to engineers and customers. Essential Requirements: Minimum 3 years' experience across multiple disciplines (Intruder, CCTV, Access Control, Fire). Strong customer focus and excellent telephone manner. Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively. General fire systems knowledge with Network/IP-based product experience. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of UDL software across Galaxy, ATS, Intruder Panels. Experience with Cash4Windows. Exposure to enterprise-level networked CCTV systems (e.g., Cathexis). My Belfast-based client is seeking an experienced and reliable Fire and Security Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to take ownership of their role and work on a variety of planned and reactive maintenance projects across fire and security systems. Job Purpose To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, and emergency response works on a wide range of Fire & Security Systems in accordance with client contracts and safety regulations. Aims & Objectives Maintain engineering standards to maximise system performance and reliability Contribute to a high-performing team focused on exceptional client service Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations Deliver responsive and effective maintenance and support services Key Responsibilities Carry out PPM in line with contract schedules Complete reactive maintenance and respond to system faults Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs and upgrades Ensure all work adheres to relevant health and safety and quality assurance protocols Maintain accurate records/documentation for each site Liaise with subcontractors and coordinate their attendance on-site Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency call-outs as required Provide detailed reports and updates for completed work Support system upgrades and project-based installations where necessary Work alongside and support other trades and engineers on site Qualifications & Experience Essential: Proven experience working with fire alarm, intruder, access control, and CCTV systems Strong fault-finding and system commissioning skills Good understanding of current regulations (BS5839, BS EN54, etc.) Full UK driving licence Excellent communication and organisational skills Desirable: Industry-recognised certifications (e.g. FIA Units, IPAF, ECS, CSCS, manufacturer training) Experience working on major system brands (e.g. Gent, Advanced, C-Tec, Hikvision, Paxton, Galaxy, Texecom) What s in it for you?
