UFT Test Engineer Location: Wokingham (5 days per week onsite, might consider Hybrid 2/3 days a week) Contract Length: 12 months Day Rate: 340 per day (Inside IR35) We are seeking an experienced UFT Test Engineer to join a long-term transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior automation testing professional with strong Unified Functional Testing (UFT) and VBScript experience to work on complex enterprise applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, creating robust test scripts, and supporting continuous testing practices across multiple projects. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop automation frameworks using UFT (Unified Functional Testing). Create, maintain, and execute automation scripts using VBScript. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Lead automation testing activities across multiple projects. Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to improve test coverage and delivery quality. Monitor test execution, defects, and quality metrics. Provide technical guidance and support to other automation engineers. Essential Experience: Strong hands-on experience with UFT/QTP automation testing. Excellent VBScript automation scripting skills. Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks. Experience integrating automation testing into CI/CD environments. Strong understanding of STLC, QA methodologies, and defect management processes. Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments. Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC eligibility required). Desirable Experience: 10+ years of experience in software testing and automation. Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments. Knowledge of additional automation tools or programming languages.

This is a hands-on contract role requiring strong technical expertise across Active Directory architecture, security, tiering, and remediation within a complex enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Review Active Directory tiering policies and implementation progress. Finalise outstanding tiering activities and validate business and application ownership. Assess cross-tier dependencies, risks, and security alignment. Review and remediate service accounts and scheduled tasks. Implement changes to Active Directory objects, groups, and user configurations. Validate functionality and access following change implementation. Conduct gap analysis between the current environment and target state. Produce technical documentation, remediation plans, and implementation activities. Skills & Experience Essential Extensive hands-on Microsoft Active Directory experience.
