Engineering Team Lead - Distributed Systems / Data Platforms Location: Manchester (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £75,000 + bonus (15-20%) + travel allowance & benefits Permanent, Full-time We are recruiting for an Engineering Team Lead to join a growing technology business and lead a team working on large-scale distributed data platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee the design, development and delivery of resilient, high-availability systems that handle significant data workloads. You'll work across a range of technologies including Riak, Cassandra, Couchbase, DynamoDB, Aerospike, Redis and MongoDB. Direct experience with NoSQL datastores is a bonus, but not expected. We're looking for someone with a strong software engineering or data engineering background who has led teams through data platform or backend engineering projects. You'll be responsible for driving best practices, mentoring developers and ensuring smooth delivery across multiple projects. A deep understanding of distributed systems, data storage and scalable architectures will be key. Key experience required: Proven experience leading a software or data engineering team Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures Experience with one or more NoSQL or key-value data stores (e.g. Cassandra, Couchbase, DynamoDB, Aerospike, Redis, MongoDB, Riak) Background in server-side software engineering (Python, Java, C#, Go or similar) Familiarity with Linux environments and modern DevOps practices This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of technically challenging projects and shape the direction of a high-performing engineering function.

IT Support Engineer - Microsoft 365, Azure, Cloud Huddersfield (onsite) A busy IT team are looking for a 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their Huddersfield office. This role will see you handling escalations, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the delivery of cloud and infrastructure projects. You'll be working in a fast-paced in-house environment with plenty of variety, from resolving Microsoft 365 tickets to helping with Azure and Intune projects. Networking, Active Directory and Group Policy will also feature regularly, and upcoming projects will give you the chance to get hands-on with Entra ID. The role would suit an IT enthusiast who enjoys solving problems, delivering results and providing excellent customer service. An MSP background would be a strong advantage as it gives you exposure to different systems, but it is not essential.
