A senior developer is required within a cyber security services area to build, develop and maintain data-driven web applications supporting cyber security operations. The role sits close to the security data itself, turning it into usable tooling and reporting for technical and operational users. This is a hands on engineering role. The successful candidate will design and build applications end to end, own the infrastructure that runs them, and work alongside security specialists, analysts and delivery colleagues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop and maintain Python and Django applications supporting cyber security services Build and manage AWS infrastructure using CDK, applying infrastructure as code practices throughout Develop tooling that ingests, processes and surfaces cyber security data Build reporting and dashboards using AWS QuickSight Containerise applications using Docker and support their deployment and operation Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating build, test and deployment Apply secure by design principles across the full development life cycle Work with security analysts and operational users to translate requirements into working software ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Strong commercial Python development experience, including web frameworks, with demonstrable Django experience Substantial hands on AWS experience AWS CDK, with a working understanding of infrastructure as code AWS QuickSight Experience building tooling around cyber security data Docker and containerised applications Git and GitHub Linux and Unix CI/CD pipelines Secure by design
