The Enterprise Architect leads architecture engagements with energy distribution and transmission clients, focusing on EMS, ADMS, OMS, AMI, Market Platforms, DER integration and related enterprise platforms. Responsibilities Enterprise & Solution Architecture Ownership Own the definition of end-to-end architectures for assigned client engagements, covering application, data, integration and technology domains. Stay current with industry trends in smart grids, EMS/ADMS/DERMS, cloud, data and integration, and bring these insights into client conversations and propositions. Qualifications Typically 6-10 years of experience in the energy and utilities sector, including significant time in architecture, solution design or senior engineering roles for DNO/TSO, generation or utility-focused consultancies. Proven experience designing solutions involving ADMS/SCADA/OMS and at least one of AMI, DERMS, CRM, ERP or enterprise integration platforms. Strong understanding of grid operations processes including fault and outage management, switching, network planning, distributed generation and flexibility, and how they are supported by IT/OT systems. Demonstrable track record producing and owning architecture artefacts including conceptual and logical designs, integration designs, roadmaps, standards and options papers. Practical knowledge of utility integration and data standards such as IEC-60870-5-104, ICCP and CIM/IEC 61968/61970/62325, and their use in real projects. Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures in Azure and/or AWS within a utility context, for example integration, data platforms, analytics or grid operations support. You will contribute to a range of implementation projects from minor enhancements through to major enterprise system builds.
