We are recruiting an Electrical Test Engineer to join our team in the North West! This is a mobile role based in the Kendal area. Role Summary: Perform comprehensive electrical testing, fault diagnosis, and rectification on a wide range of electrical systems and equipment, including LV distribution, final circuits, power, lighting and HVAC plant Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules in accordance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and industry best practices SFG 20, BS7671, EAWR. Respond promptly to Critical safety observations in order to minimize downtime. Conduct Electrical Test and inspection services in accordance with CBRE Electrical Safety Rules, EAWR 1989 and Guidance Note 3 Ensure all work is carried out in strict adherence to relevant electrical regulations, including BSth Edition IET Wiring Regulations, and United Utilities' specific electrical requirements, such as those related to surge protection and hazardous area classifications where applicable. Undertake site surveys, prepare Works Requests, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for all planned works, ensuring safe working practices. Maintain accurate site logs and associated paperwork, including detailed records of maintenance, testing, and repairs. Liaise effectively with the client (United Utilities representatives), subcontractors, and other CBRE team members to ensure seamless service delivery and communication. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in electrical systems and maintenance processes. Adhere to all company and client health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Qualifications & Experience Recognized Electrical Qualification, such as City & Guilds levels 1, 2 and 3 in Electrical Installations. City & Guilds 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification is essential. City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection and Testing is essential. Proven experience as an Electrical Test Engineer or Electrical Bias Engineer, ideally within a critical environment or industrial setting. Strong technical understanding of industrial facility power distribution and coordination. Experience with power system schematics is beneficial Ability to interpret technical drawings, instructions, processes, and O&Ms. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and colleagues. The QHSE & Compliance Coordinator will support the QHSE Lead in ensuring the firm meets as a minimum, all statutory compliance standards in Health, Safety and Environmental matters, as well as adopting best practises reflective of industry guidance and all internal policy and arrangements. They will act as the gate keeper for a number of pivotal compliance systems and databases ensuring a proactive approach and early identification for the potential of risk and providing management information with recommendations. Role Summary: Management of client-wide incident reporting ServiceNow database. Update of national first aid/fire warden representative lists.
