We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our team as a Technical Sales Executive . In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and seizing opportunities for new customer acquisition within the construction industry. You will have excellent industry knowledge and a vast portfolio of experience within this sector and ultimately leveraging your expertise and strategic vision to identify new business opportunities, forge key partnerships, and drive revenue growth. Responsibilities: Sales Leadership: Contacting prospective clients, selling to a variety of stakeholders, and winning new business. Generate and manage a mixture of lead types. Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to expand the customer base. Regularly attending meetings and networking events (UK wide travel will be required). Responsible for generating leads and prospecting customers from previous knowledge and experience within this sector/ industry. Proactively engage with customers to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall customer experience. Product Expertise : Emphasize the need for a deep understanding of product features, benefits, and applications. This includes knowledge of soil modification techniques, environmental benefits, and competitive advantages. Market Development : Highlight the importance of exploring new market segments and applications for our client beyond traditional construction projects including niche markets (tunnelling etc). To have a strong understanding of the current market and how our client can differ from this. Technical Support : Needs to be able to provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding SoilDri's application methods, addition rate recommendations, and performance expectations. This could include conducting on-site demonstrations , sampling, and training sessions as needed. Sustainability Focus : Given our clients environmental benefits, emphasise the role in promoting sustainable construction practices and eco-friendly solutions to prospective clients. This includes educating customers on the long-term environmental impact of our client compared to traditional methods. Innovation Integration : Encourage the integration of innovative sales strategies and technology tools to streamline the sales process, enhance customer engagement, and differentiate our client from competitors. This could include leveraging digital platforms for lead generation, data analytics for market insights, etc. Continuous Learning: Encourage a mindset of continuous learning and professional development within the role, including participation in industry conferences, workshops, and training programs. This ensures that the Technical Sales Manager remains abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in soil modification and construction. Skills / Qualifications Required: Proven track record of success in sales management roles specifically within the construction sector, with a deep understanding of industry trends, challenges, and opportunities (5 years construction sales experience min). Excellent and in depth specific industry knowledge. To be target driven, self-motivated and independent. Being innovative in your approach to the growth of the business. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Role responsibilities - Fault diagnosis on CCTV, Fire safety and intruder alarm systems. Installation of bespoke security alarms. Planned preventive maintenances on bespoke security systems. Detecting and reporting defects, snags and complaints. Responsibility for van stock/replenishment and stock taking. Competency in problem solving and an ability to make diligent recommendations. Demonstration to clients and end users of completed systems or individual work. Arranging PAT and meter calibrations for company issued equipment. Completion of asset tagging and registration of information. AWC Staff Services are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the our clients Systems Operations Field service team. You'll ensure effective delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works, ensuring compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements. You'll be expected to carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of Fire alarms, CCTV, Intruder alarms, access control and associated equipment and products to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards, alongside appropriate documentation and records in a timely and appropriate manner. You should have excellent communication skills, alongside basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy. You should be capable of working to high levels of Health and Safety Requirements and having previous experience in a similar role carrying out PPM, reactive calls and Small Works in the Fire & Security Systems industry. Service test and inspection experience to the relevant standards/codes are also expected including fault-finding techniques. You will also be expected to actively attend and participate in any company-initiated training to maintain an up to date knowledge of technical aspects of the role. The ideal candidate would have previous experience with PPM, Accident Reporting, or RAMS, alongside following Health and Safety Legislation, preferably in the engineering field. Sharing technical and problem-solving abilities and knowledge with colleagues alongside an ability to take initiative and work with little supervision is also ideal.
