This is a varied role where you'll be involved from initial design right through to implementation and support. You'll take ownership of both high-level and low-level designs , work with technologies from leading vendors, and provide third-line support when required. Main Responsibilities: Create and deliver detailed high and low-level network designs for complex IP environments. Build and implement solutions using technologies such as Cisco. Act as a point of escalation for third-line support on challenging issues. Work directly with customers to understand needs and translate them into workable solutions. Provide guidance and technical direction to colleagues within project teams. Ensure solutions are properly documented and can be effectively supported once deployed. Skills Required: Strong track record of designing and supporting secure, resilient IP Networks. Experience producing clear high and low-level design documentation. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SNMP, Syslog or similar. Solid understanding of network security, including Firewalls, IDS and IPS. Knowledge of core routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, LDP or RSVP. Confident communicator, able to explain technical detail to both technical and non-technical audiences. In this role, you'll be supporting the equipment that underpins the manufacture and test of some of the most advanced missile systems in the world. What you'll be doing Fault finding and repairing electronic test equipment down to component level Supporting and carrying out routine calibrations across a variety of systems Commissioning test equipment and carrying out drift analysis to keep performance on track Using manuals, drawings and specifications to troubleshoot and deliver technical solutions Working on complex test platforms alongside experienced engineers, developing new skills every day Sharing knowledge and mentoring junior staff when needed Supporting environmental test facilities and specialist equipment where required What we're looking for HNC/HND (or higher) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Required) Hands-on experience with calibration of test equipment and maintenance of electronic systems Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills down to component level Ability to work from technical instructions, drawings and specs with accuracy Good knowledge of calibration principles and processes A collaborative team player with clear communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities at once SAP knowledge would be a bonus Experience working with environmental chambers would be an advantage Eligible for SC clearance (British passport)
