The Role We are looking for an experienced Network LAN/WAN Engineer to support the day-to-day engineering of our global network and wireless production environments. This is a global technical role requiring strong hands-on expertise, a high level of ownership, and the ability to operate in complex multinational environments. You will work closely with Real Estate teams, Service Delivery Programme teams, vendors, and managed service providers to ensure resilient, high-performing network services across office and enterprise environments. Please note: This role requires relocation to Germany , and candidates must have German language skills at B2 level or above . Key Responsibilities Design and engineer highly available and resilient network solutions across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments Design, optimise, and maintain enterprise wireless networks, including signal optimisation and coverage design Support office moves, renewals, and expansions in line with defined network standards Assist Operations teams with root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting activities Partner with vendors on service life cycles, roadmaps, and hardware refresh strategies Manage production hardware life cycle and vendor performance Evaluate Managed Service Provider technical capabilities and resources Track network availability and proactively eliminate repeat incidents Drive continuous improvement across network performance, reliability, and service delivery Technical Skills & Experience Proven experience designing and supporting high-availability enterprise networks Strong hands-on expertise in Aruba Wireless design, management, and standardisation Experience working as part of a global network or infrastructure function Wireless predictive survey experience using tools such as Airwave VisualRF (preferred) , Ekahau , or AirMagnet Experience designing and supporting high-density enterprise wireless office environments Strong knowledge of routing protocols and tiered network design Experience with SD-WAN (VeloCloud) and associated transport technologies Deep understanding of 802.11 protocols , RF propagation, antenna technologies, multipath, spatial multiplexing, and diversity Proven experience in RF optimisation, interference analysis, and coexistence troubleshooting Experience supporting voice and collaboration tools over wireless networks, including Microsoft Teams Soft Skills Ability to analyse business and technical requirements and deliver solutions through structured project delivery Strong personal ownership, professional ethics, and commitment to continuous learning Confident communicator able to present complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences German language proficiency at B2 level or above is mandatory Strong troubleshooting leadership skills, including facilitating technical calls and influencing outcomes Ability to produce high-quality documentation and enable knowledge transfer across teams Behavioural Competencies Proactively resolve complex technical issues and explore alternative design approaches Collaborate effectively across teams and functions to deliver projects and operational support Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure successful project outcomes Coach and mentor team members to support effective knowledge management

The Role We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to lead the architectural and solution design of complex, large-scale production network environments. This role covers Data Centres & Computer Rooms, Azure Cloud, Network Security, Site LAN & WiFi, and SD-WAN solutions . You will work closely with both internal teams and external partners, including managed service providers who support network operations and implementations. This is a highly technical role requiring deep networking expertise, strong design capability, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Important: This role requires relocation to Germany or the ability to travel to Germany at least three times per week . Fluent German is essential due to stakeholder and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Design network solutions across Sites & Campuses, Security Perimeters, and WAN environments Architect and optimise network infrastructure that is highly available, secure, and compliant with regulatory standards Design micro-segmentation solutions to meet advanced security requirements Lead network architecture and deployment activities for mergers and acquisitions onboarding projects Ensure network designs comply with regulatory frameworks such as DORA, BaFin, and VAIT Collaborate with Technical Project Managers to understand project priorities and sequence network engineering activities effectively Work as part of a global delivery model with internal teams and external managed service partners Experience & Technical Expertise Proven expertise in LAN, Firewalls, Data Centre, WiFi, and WAN design, management, and standardisation Extensive experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting LAN solutions in Data Centres and Site LAN/WiFi environments Strong hands-on experience with Aruba switching platforms and gateways Experience designing network security solutions using Fortinet Firewalls and Zscaler Background working in global, multi-vendor environments with a mix of in-house IT and managed service delivery models Competencies & Skills Comfortable working in ambiguous and complex environments Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders German language skills at B2 level or above - essential Deep technical understanding of network routing, switching, security, data centre technologies, Firewalls, DMZ environments, and Wi-Fi Solid understanding of Mergers & Acquisitions and the technical integration of organisations Location & Travel Requirement Primary focus on Germany Candidates must be willing to relocate to Germany or travel to Germany at least three days per week Regular on-site presence is mandatory due to regulatory and stakeholder engagement needs Perm or inside IR35 - Long term contract
