Key Responsibilities AWS Architecture and Deployment Deploying AWS Core Services - VPC/EC2 Instances Configuring High Performance EBS volumes AWS Patch Management AWS Disaster Recovery and high availability AWS Load Balancing - Design and Implementing using multiple private subnets Elastic Load Balancing layer 7 and layer 4. AWS RDS for Oracle Support Implementation of Oracle based solution on AWS using Oracle Database and WebLogic Server AWS IAM and Active Directory Promote the Oracle based Data Lake (at factory on a VM) application and all its components onto the AWS Cloud, configuring, load balancing, and releasing to users, a performant system. Liaising with Cloud AWS experts to specify requirement, desired services on AWS and the required Oracle licenses. Deriving a not to exceed cost over the life of the contract for AWS usage (pre prod, prod, SIT, UAT) using the cost calculator. This architect will be leveraged across the transformation business, and so will need to be able to support both High and Low Level design. Job spec Solution Architects required to join established Architecture Team working closely with customers, external subcontractors, project management and technical teams. 5+ years of Solution/Technical Architect experience, working with multiple technologies as part of an enterprise architecture - complex, large scale, business critical. Key Responsibilities: Assist Transformation in the provision of high and low level solution architecture Generate conceptual, logical and physical architecture documents for a project/program Contribute to estimation and risk assessments Provide technical leadership and oversight during change proposal assessment Contribute to short time-frame change impact assessments, feasibility studies & costed IT proposals and be comfortable with producing architecture models and designs Negotiate with key stakeholders including prioritisation of projects and resources Provide technical design assurance for new projects, operational change and enhancements Identifying and resolving impacts of changes to the technical architecture Be a point of reference and authority for Solution and Technical Architecture on a program/project Assist in establishment of the Architecture practice, and the adoption of an architecture and standards methodology. Key Responsibilities Proficient at automation using more than one common Scripting language - PowerShell, Python, bash, Puppet, Ansible or similar.
