We would like to recruit a Cloud Engineer who gets the DevOps principles of automation and measurement, understands networks and databases and is comfortable working on Windows or Linux. We are looking for someone that is passionate about providing great service to customers, and working in a small supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities Proficient at automation using more than one common Scripting language - PowerShell, Python, bash, Puppet, Ansible or similar. Familiar with VMware and virtualisation, and you have either used the vRealize Automation product suite and Orchestrator to create blueprints and workflows, or you are keen to learn. Experienced in working in an Agile/DevOps environment or very keen to develop these skills. Able to communicate openly, create clear web content and present data effectively. Eligible and willing to obtain security clearances required for this work. Technical Infrastructure skills in an enterprise environment, for example: Advanced Infrastructure skills covering administration, fault finding/diagnosis and fix, file/Print Clusters, Enterprise level Thin Client environment an advantage, messaging an advantage, virtualization an advantage, hardware build and evaluation experience, supportability (lowering the TCO, including support and maintenance considerations). Project leading experience within prevailing project management methodology eg PRINCE or PMI. Experience of working to tight SLA's Experience of working within a strong governance structure Extensive experience in Infrastructure Management Diploma in Computer Science Desirable Skills Experience within a customer environment and an appreciation of the impact of problems on the customer business. Documentation Skills, with the ability to produce documents for use by an end user, as well as operational procedure documentation for use by service desk personnel. Accreditation to MCSE level or equivalent essential and accreditation in another technology area ITIL foundation
