Financial Reporting Analyst - 40,000- 43,000 Hammersmith, London Hybrid - 3 days in the office Permanent ACCA / CIMA Part-Qualified We are working with a leading independent B2B energy supplier to recruit a Financial Reporting Analyst into its established Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACCA or CIMA part-qualified accountant who has gained around 2+ years' experience within a finance function and is looking to develop their financial reporting, month-end and technical accounting experience within a complex, fast-paced business. The role would suit someone currently working as an Assistant Management Accountant, Management Accountant, Financial Accountant, Assistant Financial Accountant or Financial Reporting Analyst . The role Working as part of the Finance team, you will: Support monthly, quarterly and annual management and financial reporting Own and support month-end and year-end activities Prepare and post journals and maintain balance sheet reconciliations Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and prior periods Prepare reporting schedules and supporting financial analysis Assist with statutory and external reporting requirements Support external audit requests and provide appropriate documentation Investigate discrepancies and financial movements through to resolution Work closely with Finance and wider operational, commercial, data and technology teams Help improve reporting processes, controls and the use of automation within Finance About you We are looking for someone with: At least 2 years' experience within a finance/accounting role ACCA or CIMA part-qualified , with at least half of your examinations successfully completed Hands-on month-end experience including journals, reconciliations and financial reporting Exposure to management accounting and/or financial accounting Understanding of IFRS or UK GAAP Strong Excel and analytical skills Experience working with large or complex datasets Confidence communicating with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders Experience gained within a complex, regulated and fast-paced environment Previous energy or utilities sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential . This is a strong opportunity for someone at the early stages of their GRC career to build practical experience within a professional services environment, with exposure to ISO 27001, information security risk, compliance and assurance. Key Responsibilities Support the administration and continual improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS). Assist with ISO 27001 certification, surveillance and internal audit activities. Coordinate audit evidence collection and track remediation actions. Joining a fast-growing AI business, you'll build and lead the expert network and sourcing function responsible for identifying, engaging and growing networks of specialist professionals across a range of industries.
