KDB Developer - Contract - Hybrid - London - £800pd via Umbrella Robson Bale are looking for an experience KDB Developer to come on board for an initial 12 month hybrid contract. The role required 3 days per week on site in central London. The role is offering £800 per day via an Umbrella company Candidate MUST have extensive experience with KDB Key responsibilities Develop and implement solutions for a core kdb+ data platform used by global trading teams. Build and maintain high-performance, high-volume, low-latency systems, from market data capture to user analytics. Collaborate with global business sponsors, quant trading teams, and technology teams to deliver projects. Contribute to the design and technical direction of the kdb+ product suite. Translate business requirements into secure, stable, and scalable software designs. Required skills and qualifications Extensive experience in kdb+/q, including the design of large kdb+ systems. Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and modern software development practices. Experience with development in a Unix and/or Linux environment. Core Java development experience is often required. Experience with low-latency systems development and tick data capture. Knowledge of market data and algorithmic trading data is highly beneficial. Experience with various financial products like Equities, Futures, Options, and FX is ideal.

TypeScript developer (Frontend) - Senior - Contract - London/Hybrid - £430pd Inside IR35 12 months £430pd Inside IR35 1 day per week on site in London We are looking for a highly skilled TypeScript Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the implementation of a new project. You will be instrumental in shaping our shift-left testing strategy, ensuring quality and resilience are Embedded from the very beginning of development. With strong expertise in Next.js, you will work across the stack-from building modern, performant Front End experiences to designing and integrating APIs and microservices. You will take ownership of delivering secure, scalable, testable, and maintainable solutions that meet the highest engineering standards. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, and React. Champion the shift-left approach by embedding quality early in the SDLC, writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests alongside feature development. Implement and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Jest, and React Testing Library to ensure reliability and regression coverage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX/UI designers, product owners, QA, DevOps) to deliver well-scoped, high-quality features. Contribute to system architecture discussions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Build reusable components, libraries, and utilities to accelerate development across the team. Strong understanding of Advanced Typescript concepts (eg Generics, Mapped & Utility types etc.) Knowledge of REST APIs and tools for testing API endpoints. Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and shift-left testing practices. Required experience in Design & developing automated tests for Front End and Back End services using TypeScript and modern test frameworks (Playwright, React-test library). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Computer science, software engineering, or relevant technical background required. Desirable: Experience with maintaining mono-repo (eg Nx, Lerna or Turborepo) Familiarity with containerised environments (eg Docker, Kubernetes). Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (eg DataDog, Grafana). Experience in performance or accessibility testing (eg Playwright Lighthouse)
