You'll also play a key part in IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. Key responsibilities include: Configuring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN, VPNs, switches, routers, and wireless networks Providing both remote and on-site user support across multiple sites Managing system updates, patching, and performance monitoring Supporting infrastructure projects and collaborating with third-party suppliers Maintaining accurate documentation for systems and configurations This role requires regular travel to other company sites, with occasional short-notice visits when urgent issues arise. IT Manager (Part-Time) - Harrogate £17 per hour (£32,000 pro-rata) 16 hours per week (flex days) We are working with Harrogate Neighbours , a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing care and support in the community, to recruit a part-time IT Manager . This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT professional to play a pivotal role in managing and developing IT systems across the organisation. Working 16 hours per week, with flexibility on how those hours are delivered, this role ensures that Harrogate Neighbours has robust IT infrastructure, effective cyber security, and compliant data management practices. As IT Manager, you will oversee IT operations on a day-to-day basis, act as the main contact for their external IT support provider, and lead the implementation of new systems to ensure staff have the tools and confidence to perform their roles effectively. Key Responsibilities: Ensure safe, effective, and compliant IT systems across the organisation. Act as the Data Protection Officer (DPO), ensuring GDPR compliance. Support the Director of Finance, IT & Compliance to develop and deliver IT strategy. Manage the performance of the external IT provider to ensure value-for-money service. Oversee applications, including subscriptions, licensing, and incident management. Specify and procure IT hardware such as laptops, phones, tablets, and printers. Ensure cyber security best practice is in place. Contribute to IT budget setting and manage expenditure effectively. About You: Qualified to NVQ Level 5 or above in IT, or 5+ years' experience in a comparable role. Strong knowledge of business IT systems, cybersecurity, and GDPR. Experience supporting IT across multiple sites. Skilled in managing IT providers, subscriptions, and licensing. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across teams. Previous DPO experience is desirable.
