Baltic Apprenticeships are proud to be partnering with PC Rescue, a trusted IT support provider based in the Forest of Dean, to recruit a motivated IT Apprentice. As an apprentice at PC Rescue, youll gain hands-on experience helping clients with real-world IT issues - from setting up computers and laptops, testing software and systems, and troubleshooting user problems, to keeping devices up to date and assisting with installations and upgrades. Youll earn a starting salary of £16,000 per year, work Monday to Friday, 9am4pm, with 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, flexible working hours, and attend regular team social events. Guided by experienced IT professionals, youll develop both your technical skills and your confidence as you begin your journey in the tech industry. At PC Rescue, youll be part of a friendly and supportive environment where learning is encouraged, and no two days are the same. With the support of both PC Rescue and Baltic Apprenticeships, youll build a strong foundation in IT and have the opportunity to progress onto higher-level qualifications. In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Help get equipment ready before installation. Set up computers, laptops, and other devices. Make small changes to system settings when needed. Test software and systems regularly and when issues come up. Help fix basic IT problems for users. Record support requests and what was done to solve them. Keep systems and equipment up to date. Help the IT team with new installs and upgrades. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge Good communication skills and able to work well with others. Good IT skills and confident using different technologies. Attention to detail when completing tasks and checking work. Able to solve problems and think through technical issues. Good analytical skills and able to understand how systems work. Work well in a team and supports colleagues when needed. Show a keen interest in IT and enjoys learning about new technologies.
