The Programme Our client is seeking a Proximity Developer to join the Capital Markets IT team, supporting the Commodities Markets business and its Front Office users. The team is responsible for designing and implementing resilient, efficient, and scalable technology solutions in close collaboration with IT, business, and operational teams across London and globally. C# Proximity Developer Responsibilities As a Proximity Developer, you will design, develop, and support user-facing C# applications for Front Office users, following established development and delivery processes. Key responsibilities include: Gathering and analysing business requirements. Proposing and implementing effective technical solutions. Delivering and supporting business-critical applications and tools. Maintaining technical documentation and providing user support. Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and technology platforms. Advising on architecture and technology choices. Collaborating closely with Quantitative Analysts, Middle Office, and Operations teams. Ensuring adherence to development standards, governance requirements, and compliance protocols. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills Strong C#/.NET Back End development experience. Microservices architecture. Angular/AngularJS. SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB. Visual Studio. Market data platforms and APIs including Bloomberg API, Reuters Eikon, and RMDS. Financial Markets Knowledge Experience within financial markets, derivatives, and commodities. Good understanding of financial products and derivative instruments. Knowledge of option pricing, Greeks, volatility smile construction, and exotic options. Understanding of interest rate products including: Zero-coupon curve construction. Bootstrapping techniques. Interest Rate Swap (IRS) valuation. First- and second-order risk sensitivities. Knowledge of commodities markets and products is advantageous. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across business and technology teams. We are onboarding part time SAP consultants with a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in their respective modules. Strong communication skills and expertise are essential for ensuring smooth operations and effective ticket handling. SAP Success Factors Key Responsibilities Review and claim SAP OSS tickets on the ODA platform based on priority and creation time. Exercise caution when claiming tickets older than 1.5 hours to avoid SLA violations (Refer to SLA Table Annexure B). Follow SAP response templates for all communications. Re-route unclaimable tickets with a clear reason for re-routing. Ensure strict adherence to SLA compliance at all times. After responding to a ticket, mark it as waiting on customer action. Monitor customer replies closely and respond promptly to avoid SLA breaches. Maintain a daily minimum handling of 3- 5 tickets (minimum 25 tickets per week ).
