They are recognised for technical expertise, excellent client service, and a collaborative team culture. Role Overview We are seeking a 1st Line Support Engineer to join a busy service desk team. This is a early-career role for someone with 1+ years IT support experience, providing technical assistance to clients and escalating more complex issues to 2nd Line engineers. Key Responsibilities Provide 1st line support for client IT issues via phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues with Microsoft 365 / Office 365, Windows PCs, laptops, and endpoint devices. Assist with password resets, account management, and software installations. Escalate more complex issues to 2nd Line engineers as appropriate. Maintain accurate ticket documentation and keep clients updated on progress. Ensure SLAs are met and provide excellent customer service. Essential Skills & Experience 1+ years experience in IT support, helpdesk, or 1st line support, ideally within an MSP or managed IT environment. Basic knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 / Office 365. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to learn quickly and follow guidance from senior engineers. Desirable Skills Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Exposure to Intune, Azure, or virtualisation (VMware / Hyper-V) is advantageous. Technical Lead (Python/Javascript) - open to Code Apethic Developers. (Remote but open to 1 day office per week - Exeter) My client is a cutting edge environmental software & Data Development group. They are pushing the boundaries of the ability for groups, companies in the UK to make innovation and gain in Energy, Transport, Sustainability and Environmental decisions to improve climate and living quality across the UK and globally. This Technical Lead will be a hands-on Software Role but with a passion and ability to lead projects, be innovative, delivery and results-focused and able to innovate quickly and then build quality and stability post-launch after the delivery. Their Code base is mainly a mix between Python, Javascript, Postgres, Vue, Postgres Gis but always pushing forward with new technologies and more and more development on AWS, Docker, Kubernetes etc. So even if you are a strong Dev in C++/C# and feel comfortable moving across to Python/Javascript my client is open to this. This role is also a growth role within the Development team and has exciting potential to move forward towards Development Manager/Or more Senior leadership challenges if you have the potential. - Strong Software Engineer - Code Apethic - able to either write great Python or able to transition - Proven Javascript Experience Passion to grow and build and deliver great products and code. Want to be part of an Ethical Environmental Software team (Remote based) with regular catch-ups. Ideally 1 day in the office per week in a perfect world or more... but flexible approach.
